There's some decent Chinese phones out there for less than your budget, but since you're tight on money, I'd recommend taking a look at the doogee x5 or that walmart phone that's going really cheap.
What's your current phone? Also a lumia phone would offer god tier performance even on shit hardware, so a lumia 530 is also a decent choice, and the 640 a great choice. If apps like snapchat are necessary though just stick to a basic android device.
What's your current phone and have you installed any custom shit on it? What's the problem with it that you feel the need to upgrade on such a tight budget?

Im currently using an htc desire 510. I currently have 170 i can spend freely, and i rarely have that much to splurge. My desire 510's headphone jack is messed up which results in my music pausing at the slightest movement of the jack. This is my biggest problem as i listen to music a lot on my phone and in public. It also under performs a lot and just annoys me at the shit it does. A month or two ago it over heated while charging and melted the charging port circutry a little and only a select few chargers work.
