Ok you will wnat to downgrade to an earlier version of Windows go with either 7 or 8. From how it sounds though it is possible you could be having hardware problems. Best course of action would be to take it back to where you bought it and tell them the issue or take it to an IT repair store. If you want to torrent you could do it through your computer or do it through another computer running a more secure OS (windows is notoriously bad with security).

I'm sick of this meme. Lots of games are perfectly viable on Linux, and tons more run really well through wine. I recently removed my Windows partition from my dual boot, and can play every game in my steam library except one at 1440p with an r9 390. Gaming on Linux isn't absolute, but it's perfectly enjoyable.

I think you can game just fine on Linux + Wine or native. Why not use Xubuntu, Fedora or OpenSUSE? Hell, try Debian if you want to "assemble" you own Linux.

Then arch is a bad idea. I had years of experience with Linux before installing arch AND I had the help of someone who had experience installing it and it still took hours for us to get the WiFi working. And we somehow managed to mess up the bootloader while dual booting windows so we spent hours on that as well. It took me over one day to install it to a reasonable state I could use even with help. For someone who does not already love Linux that is not worth it. If you install Linux mint on the other hand, all drivers come automatically and its basically just pressing "next" except check the "dual boot" box so your windows is not deleted.

This. I mostly use emulators like Dolphin, Snes9x, Mupen64plus, PCSX2 and PCSXr and they all work fine with most of the games I've used them with. I don't get this "lunix sucks cause theirs no games XD" meme.
