buy it and see, fag
>>
>>52177529
Well I mean it's amazon. Just buy it and return if it sucks? You can only win. Also how long is manufacturer warranty in UK? 2 years? If nothing has happened within that time it'll last a few years more
>>
>>52177529

It's real but it's from Korea, which basically means no warranty.

Monitors are definitely something you want to purchase with a good returns policy (backlight bleed, dead pixels, uniformity etc) so just stick to Amazon
>>
Why do so few monitors have a proper stand that lets you adjust the height, go portrait mode.

I don't know how you guys can live with these shitty stands that only let you tilt a few degrees.
>>
>>52177683
it's ebay
>>
120hz+ is a meme for video games. You won't notice a difference, even if you can run the games that fast (which you won't be doing)
>>
>1Year Warranty
maybe i will just do this, image quality/dead pixels have genuinely never been a big issue to me
>>
>>52177529
Its real, but it's a cheap company so don't expect good quality
>>
These aren't gsync certified monitors..... will you still be able to get 144hz on em if they aren't compatiable with nvidya's gsync crap?

I could believe it if it worked on amd's freesync for 120hz since that shit is open source... but as far as I know about gsync... there has to be a special chip inside gsync compatible monitors to get 144hz...
>>
> brought a 29" IPS korean monitor for 200 bucks back in the days.... maybe 7 years ago
> monitor still working great today

Go for it, fuck overpriced gsync monitors. Cheap Korean shit is just as good.
>>
>>52178026
G-sync and Freesync are not the same as 144hz and 120hz.

The refresh rate is one of the last things you should be considering in a gaming monitor. Don't you have School today?
>>
They're a meme for a reason breh. I went with the crossover 27in 1440p one and it looks beautiful, 0 dead pixels or backlight bleeding plus it overclocked fine

Which monitor is good to buy for around 200€?
>>
op here, my only issue with this is that i'm going to need an adapter for the korean plug type, won't this bottleneck how much power it uses and drop frames?
>>
>>52177704
You buy an ergotron arm. That's better than any stock monitor stand anyway.
>>
>>52178315
>The refresh rate is one of the last things you should be considering in a gaming monitor

What would plebs need to look for in gayming monitors then, do tell pls.
>>
>>52179018

response time? lulz
>>
>>52179251
"One of the last things". So really, only after response time? Which is now pretty must standardized across the 144hz gayming screens (ASUS, Benq, etc)
>>
>>52178083
>Go for it, fuck overpriced gsync monitors. Cheap Korean shit is just as good.
No they're not, but the premium you're paying is huge for the tiny benefit. Your post literally admits that the Korean monitor does not have the same features.

I have that exact monitor, its good for games but not much else, has 1 stuck pixel but i dont notice it much. 144hz is very nice and instantly recogniasable
>>
Why not just get the best of both worlds. I'm planning to pick up this when I move, and an Asus PG279Q whenever they come back in stock.

Input latency
Response time
Gsync/Freesync
Backlight strobing
Viewing angles (Sure love the inverted blacks at the bottom you get on cheap TN monitors)
Picture quality in general
Screen size
Resolution

All of those will have a much greater impact on your video game experience than having 120hz, even if you do have the thousands of dollars you'd need to build a computer that can even get you up to those frame rates.
>>
>>52179482
you required a power adapter for it?
>>
>>52180544
>screen size
i could play on a fucking iphone 4

i'm always looking right at it, no matter

lmao niceme.me

unless you're on a chunky fucking lg flatron from 2002 then it won't be an issue
>picture quality in general
i play EVERYTHING on lowest, 270 or not, i don't give a shit about visual quality
>resolution
see above
>response time
see input latency
>>
>>52181325
>i could play on a fucking iphone 4
Sure thing.

>i'm always looking right at it, no matter
That's not enough for a huge number of TN panels. Even 19" monitors.

Who came up with 144 Hz? Every single refresh rate before that was in increments/multiples of 30. Did someone wake up one day and just say "144 sounds good"?
>>
why take the risk ?

There is a very good chance its going to be shitty/not meet your expectations and then you will have to live with it or ship it back at your cost.
>>
>>52181509
the same guy who made the 4k resolution. It doesn't make sense when compared to every other resolution but here we are with an abstract and I don't even think standardized resolution
>>
>>52177529
I bought a Korean Crossover 27" 1440p monitor from eBay for twice that price almost 4 years ago and its still going strong.
>>
>>52181509
It's a multiple of 24 so it makes sense for media playback.
>>
>>52181560
>why take the risk ?

It's a lot of monitor for the money. IDK about this one but the 2710 qhd one seems popular and of reasonable quality
>>
>>52181851

no it does not

only media use shitty 24hz, tv shows and other stuff use 30 and 60hz so the best refresh rate is 120hz

144hz is a meme
>>
>>52181400
fuck off retard
>>
>>52177717
Don't listen to this
I notice it even if I don't run any games. Moving windows and scrolling through websites feels way better than 60hz
>>
>>52182104
>I notice it even if I don't run any games
Yes, that's about the only place you'll ever notice it.
Next time you fawn at how smooth your game play is with 120hz, open an frame rate counter. You'll have a very hard time telling 60hz from 120hz.
>>
>>52182220
I compared 60 fps to 144 fps and it's very noticeable

>>
>>52182220
Why do you make these uniformed comments about something you have no experience with? Your statement absolutely confirms you have never used a high refresh rate monitor.
>>
>>52182220
I played arena shooters a lot. Going from 120hz+ to 60hz makes you much worse, not placebo and everyone knows it.
>>
>>52182843
>Going from 120hz+ to 60hz makes you much worse, not placebo and everyone knows it.
It is a placebo.
>>
>>52182858
It's a "placebo" the same way aiming better with a mouse over a controller is a "placebo".
>>
>>52177529
of course that's real you dumb faglord. i wouldnt even spend 119 queenlbs on that X-star b quality monitor shit.
>>
>>52182220
I noticed the difference the second I switched from 60 to 144 in the windows settings. You can tell the difference just from scrolling on a webpage or moving your cursor around on the screen.

Keep talking out of your ass though.
