It's much less of a botnet, yes, but Microsoft is the NSA PRISM corporation, so you bet your scrawny little ass they have a backdoor pre-installed.

It's the year 2016, command line should be a thing of the past. Only a wannabe hax0r trying to impress normies would want to use it.

Command line is actually quite usefull
Gui makes easy things easier, but command line makes hard things possible
>>52161184
I shouldn't have to learn something from the 70s-80s in the year 2016. This is another reason why linux will never make it as a desktop OS.

until every distro starts using wayland and offloads the broken heaping pile of shit that is X11, nothing works.

the whole reason wayland even began development was because X was beyond saving

All those quotes are real if you can remember

I wouldn't even say a GUI makes things easier. They take a greater amount of time to load and let's say you want to do some conversion in bulk and the GUI doesn't let you then you're shit out of luck. But with the cli you can throw together something likefind -name "*.something" -exec command -t -etc {} \;
And now you can do shit in bulk

I have turned off updates. Nevertheless I just used Ccleaner and it shows that Windows has updated 31/12/2015 at about 6 am. What the fuck is this?
