hey /g/entoomen
how can i count the number of tweet that include a certain keyword during a specific period of time.
example: i wanna know how many tweets had the word "faggot" in them from 12/1/2015 to 12/30/2015
using twitter api
this requires some programming experience or knowledge of some of the tools

>this requires some programming experience
i don't have that.
any other option ?
>>52160245
Not really, unless you either
a) pay someone else to do it for you, or
b) take a manual tally of each tweet that contains your specified keyword, which is more or less impossible/ beyond tedious
I'd suggest looking into some general programming tutorials - there's really no excuse nowadays for not knowing some form or function of code, you're doing yourself more harm than good otherwise.

what language should i do it with ?

It doesn't matter at all.
I saw a conference a few months back and the guy did this in like 30 seconds using python, some big-data stuff for python (the talk was about big data) and the twitter API. Seriously it was like 10 lines of code.

i'm pretty sure its simple to code, but i have zero coding knowledge :/
