Going back to school for a Masters next year.
Is it possible to survive using just Google Docs, or some other free suite, instead of spending $130 on Microsoft Office?

because the demands for college courses - especially when it comes to computer use - are generally much higher than in, say, high school. Context is good, sorry for offending you NEETS.

i've been a student for 3 and a half years and i've gotten by using only free, open source software (mostly LaTeX, scipy and Zim).
Why would a masters student be asking this question?
Pretty sure OP is some freshman posing as someone older so he doesn't get called out for his underage.
LibreOffice or OpenOffice are both viable

Oh with that said
>master student
>Too stupid to google free office suite.
GOOD LUCK HA
Yes, I am on the last semester of a master degree and have only used free software (libreoffice) and have done fine
just fucking spend the money.
MS already offers a student version of office that costs like $80 for 4 YEARS.
Office + 1tb of onedrive is cheaper than 1tb of dropbox alone.
I can't say for sure without knowing what your master's is in, but my advisor used to do machine learning research in excel. I just couldn't get there with Google docs.
That was years ago though. Maybe times have changed?
I got office through the school for like $10 though, so ask about that.
