How come the Spotify web player doesn't play ads? I'm a free user, and the ads every 4-5 songs is annoying as fuck, but for some reason they don't play when using the webplayer. Just unlimited music.

Have you ever considered that you use an adblocker?
If you use the desktop app, download a little program called blockify, it automatically mutes advertisements and does some other cool junk.
