Botnet aside, who makes the best chinkphone? Oppo? Meizu? Xiaomi? Huawei?
I'm finding the Redmi Note 2 and Mi4C tempting due to the specs for the price and their inclusion of an IR blaster, something I really miss from my old LG.
What do you goys have, and what of it would you recommend?
>>52152555
Stay away from Huawei using theri own SOC's there is no custom roms and Emui sucks.
Perhaps Xiaomi has the better communitie
>>52152555
meizu mx4 with ubango is pretty cool
>>52153111
What's SOC?
I want an Umi eMax, 2gb 1.7ghz octacore for only $148 brand new in the UK. Only problem is it's on KitKat, will KitKat still be supported in 2 years by most apps? Failing that I think I'm gonna wait for a Marshmallow chinkphone that's around that price.
>>52155063
system on a chip
use a search engine of you're choise
Bought an ECOO E04 Aurora
It's supposed to arrive next week. The specs look really good for just 190€, but it's a shame there was only in white and the phone is a bit ugly
Thought about going for a Xiaomi Redmi Note 2/3 but i was put off because it doens't support all 4G bands and i'm not sure if i would like the MIUI
>>52155253
your*
>>52155951
spec looks nice anon, just stick a black case on it and it should look fine.
Yeah MIUI looks retarded, the whole point in getting a chinkphone is to get raw specs and no bloatware for cheap.
>>52152555
which one?
redmi note 2 for 170
redmi note 2 prime for 180 (better processor and 32gb rom)
redmi note 3 2gb ram 16gb rom for 190 (fingerprint scan, better battery)
redmi note 3 3gb ram 32gb rom for 230
I'm getting storage issues. I can't install apps and it says that 11gb are going to apps but when I checked the how much storage that l the apps take it's only a few megabytes. What's going on here? Is it to do with how the OS storage is managed?
>>52156490
I have a Oneplus X and it's nice, responsive and with a great "premium feel". Battery life and camera aren't stellar though
A friend of mine got a Xiaomi Redmi 3 and he likes it, says battery life is amazing (6hr sot)
>>52157028
yeah but if I start considering Oneplus X I have to consider Xiaomi Mi4 or Mi4c, basically same specs and price range, all of them more expensive than the redmi notes. I don't understand why good cheap chinaphones have 5.5' screens while flagships have 5... I don't like the idea of a phablet but I'm not made of money
>>52157277
I'd imagine the 5.5 inch screens are cheaper than the 5 inch ones, because muh ppi
>>52152555
Curious myself, can they be flashed easily? What custom firmware should one use?
>>52156728
I'm getting no information on what the space is being used on.
Using lenovo k3 note, it's good with custom Rom
>>52156490
just go for the better specced Note 3
>>52155984
yea i will buy a black case for it, they're weird aswell, but whatever
I have the nexus 6p and I'd recommend it. The screen is a bit yellowish/warm. I'm not sure if that's on all the 6ps or just faulty units
>>52158374
Chinkphone general
>can haz nexus :DDD
>>52158492
>huawei
>>52156490
>redmi note 3 3gb ram 32gb rom for 230
battery life is amazing. Doubt you can get a better phone for that kind of money. Which seller are you using?
>>52158526
>Sold by google for an inflated price tag
>chinkphone
Am I missing something here? Why? Cheaper?
>>52152555
Xiaomi, not even twice. Fuck em, they lie about the parts they use and they're fucking flimsy
>>52158584
Cheaper cause no marketing crap and there's lots of competition, so you get high specs for a lot less
>>52158551
torn between gearbest using EU warehouse or some spanish online shop
>>52158584
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cheaper, like 2 to 3 times cheaper compared to samsung, lg, htc, etc
>>52158587
b-but muh chinese Apple
>>52158663
don't buy xiaomi
>>52158875
so what brand then? Meizu? Letv? Elephone? Ulefone? Cubot? Jiayu? Oppo? Zopo? Umi?
>>52158908
I've heard Huawei is decent, and Oneplus
But buying these defeats the purpose of wanting a cheap phone, imo you should fork out some more money and get a proper phone plus a warranty
O dea, the iPhone rip off.
>>52158943
But those brands have 2 year warranty if bought from EU warehouses. Oneplus X is right in my price range, considering it atm
>>52158167
What does the storage on settings says?
>>52158986
link me to these 2 year EU warehouses pl0x
Waiting for more information on the mi5, which might be my next phone.
>>52159223
is that the one that gets 100k in antutu, sounds godly senpai

Get yourself a Nokia lumia... Real nigga talk
>>52159128
It says that apps are taking up 11.55gb. It doesn't add up.
>>52159619
Go to apps and sort by size. See what you get.
>>52159619
Try running SD Maid.
>>52161534
I did that, the highest was bbc iPlayer which stored data of 5gb and the one under that was play music which was only 1.12gb of stored data. Everything after that is small.
>>52161688
Just how fucking stupid are you that you don't realize BigBlackCock Player is wasting all your fucking space? Delete all it's data and change it's settings so it isn't storing gigs of podcasts or whatever.
>>52161730
It's 5gb not double that you asshat. Fuck off, I don't need replies from people like you.
i bought an meizu mx2 when it cam out, still fucking love it. starting to think about installmaning gentoo
>>52161688
Well, after seeing this I'd say that it's BBC iPlayer taking all the space, but as you say it's not then I'd think that some app is storing app and not displaying it.
If you're rooted or can access /data/app/ and sort the folders by size then you could figure out who's eating all that space.
>>52152555
Add Coolpad as a major player, but it has a backdoor installed called Coolreaper in many of the devices
>>52164172
Explain, i was looking to buy a win10 tablet from this guys
>>52159437
Nokia hasn't made Lumia since 2014.
All Lumias run Windows and are therefore shit.
I'd rather have a chinkphone stuck on 3G than an LTE enabled Windows phone.
>>52152555
No Lenovo masterrace?
Girlfriend just bought a Huawei P8 and she's pretty happy with it. I'm looking at upgrading soon, and I might get the same phone with the alternate colour scheme.
At the moment I've got a Oneplus One, which has been alright, but it's developed some niggles, such as spiking the ping when I'm holding it from 50-100ms up to over 10000ms, and then going back down to normal when I set it back down, on two different carriers. My only thought is that it's a dodgy as fuck antenna, and it probably didn't help that I bought the Chinese version on eBay, rather than the International version.
>>52153111
Yeh, the only option I have is downloading updates of Emui roms from the official Taiwan website, at least for my phone.
>>52164835
I'm also satisfied with my Huawei phone, even though it's 1.5 years old now.
>>52165117
I think I might be heading in the Huawei direction for my next phone. Probably either the P8 or a Nexus 6P, which is unfortunately still pretty expensive in Australia. None of the other 'big name' brands seem to be bringing out anything rip-roaringly spectacular - they're either pretty cool, but horrendously expensive, or reasonably priced by nothing special.
