Open the test function and scrutinize the navbar/statusbar area for burn in. Then:
>Do you have burn in?
>How long have you had the phone?
>Did you know that you had burn in before this test?
>Do you use pie controls or have the navbar disabled?
>Do you give a shit?
>Is AMOLED a meme?
You can post a picture of your screen if you feel like going the extra mile. Pic related is an example.

>broken screen
sure brah
I bought a Note 2 in Novermber 2013 and used it for 25 months, almost always at 50% brightness for around 5-6 hours SoT per day. I always kept it at 280DPI, and for the last two months, there was some slight burn-in. The status bar area was brighter when the screen brightness was at minimum with a grey background. There was darker dots where the first two notifications and clock would be. It wasn't that bad and if the Galaxy Alpha was better I would've bought it over my Z3 Compact.
I don't know how you guys are managing to get burn ins that quick.
Pic related is a Galaxy S2, used since release. The burn was impossible to see unless I turned off all lights, covered windows, etc.
Here's my status report:
>Do you have burn in?
Yep. Faint, but there
>How long have you had the phone?
Little over a month
>Did you know that you had burn in before this test?
No, but I do now. thanks fucker
>Do you use pie controls or have the navbar disabled?
Disabling navbar as I write this
>Do you give a shit?
Fuck yes
>Is AMOLED a meme?
I thought it was great like 5 minutes ago but now I'm realizing that it's just another shitty planned obselesence technology.
>You get gud contrast goy! Just don't cry when your screen is 40% dimmer in one year and the pixels are burned out in irregular patterns :DDD
fuck this sucks
I'm a G Flex 2 owner
>>Do you have burn in?
A tiny amount in the nav bar
>>How long have you had the phone?
3 months
>>Did you know that you had burn in before this test?
Yeah, but a tad. Not as bad as a ..let's say .. Moto x after a year.
>>Do you use pie controls or have the nav disabled?
Nope
>>Do you give a shit?
I do because i know that portion will look bad especially during movies.
>>Is AMOLED a meme?
Nope. Amoled >>>>>> LCD everything looks amazing and i love the perfect blacks.
We have a transparent status bar, why can't Google ad a transparent nav bar or have the buttons change colors over time ? Like a very light hue.
Phone is a Galaxy S4 not a nexus but:
>Do you have burn in?
Yes, status bar and some faint vertical stripes.
>How long have you had the phone?
Since May 2013
>Did you know that you had burn in before this test?
Yes. Bottom 10% of the screen flickers at low brightnesses too.
>Do you use pie controls or have the navbar disabled?
No (have hardware buttons)
>Do you give a shit?
No
>Is AMOLED a meme?
It's not that great
>>52130406
>changing navbar color with statusbar
That would look great and fix a lot of the burn in problem. Fucking Google.
>lets have solid white icons on a solid black bar that literally never moves on the screen or changes color ever
>releases official devices with bad AMOLED panels alongside operating system that does this
poo in loo
>>52130219
Pic isn't even a Nexus 6, nigger.
>>52130475
Same s4 with the same answers minus the flickering
>>52130219
lol no IPS master race
Nothing on my Nexus 6P, so I'll answer for my Galaxy S and S III.
>Do you have burn in?
S: yes status bar
SIII: yes, status bar, nav bar, icons on status bar
>How long have you had the phone?
S: used August 2010-July 2012
S III: used July 2012-December 2015
>Did you know that you had burn in before this test?
Yes, I have tested before.
>Do you use pie controls or have the navbar disabled?
S: capacitive buttons, nav bar never used
S III: nav bar only used since last fall
>Do you give a shit?
Not really, it's not really noticable unless you're looking for it with a tester app.
>Is AMOLED a meme?
No, AMOLED is great. I love the deep blacks, which are even deeper on my 6P than either of my Galaxies. AMOLED was one of the reasons I chose the Nexus 6P over the Moto X Pure.
Nice try, NSA. I'm not installing your botnet
>>52130742
App has no permissions. Android itself is more of a botnet
Also my 2 week old nexus 6 has slight burn in at the status bar and Nav bar.
I've never had burn in on my S4 which I have used for 3 years.
I would still use amoled over IPS. Even tho IPS has better color, the shitty contrast is ugly at night.
>>52130219
Been using a Note 3 for nearly 3 years now.
Yes, there is burn-in.
No, it isn't noticeable unless really looking for it in a dark room
No, would not trade gray-blacks of LCD for it
Yes, next phone will also have AMOLED with superior black-levels.
