Does anybody know where I could find some pricing info on this? It was my grandfather's retirement present in 1969, but the name on the face only brings up more modern watches from the company. I can't find a similar model with the Day + Number combo either. Not trying to /r/ you guys, just figured you know the most on watches.

It isn't too bad i guess, i was dirt cheap since the army pays for 80% of the tuition and you basically have to show attendance (come to a few classes every couple of days really). I literally never come on mondays and go to work instead, the only real nice thing is that i get lot's of time to earn shekels.

One big disadvantage, is that when i leave the army i'll be 23. Though not in debt and free to do as i please.
>>
>>52132223
You're going alright. Around here it isn't even easy to get into the armed forces. Ridiculously strict on criminal record and healthiness. It isn't pratical to enlist in anything except for a riflemen or a seamen under the age of 21 unless you are a women or a minority

Well, so and so.

This isn't the US army, so we get paid almost nothing in the short run and not a lot in the long run. Plus i get a technical role (after a 3 month course, as part of the service). As far a criminal records and healthiness~ go i'd rather not even start, since i'm already grinning.

Charming, like a vintage fire control computer. But utterly worthless compared to a semiconductor chip. These are close. But they have moon phase, which is cool though. Aren't there any models with just day/night indicator? Or just the Moon incorporated in design, somehow?

How about a watch with a GMT hand or GMT sub-dial? With a 24 hour subdial/hand you'd be able to tell day/night phases.

That's a problem on the 8215 movements which have indirect driven seconds. The memesplorer has a 9015 movement which has a direct drive seconds hand so it should never stutter. Mine doesn't, at least.

Also by the way Vostok movements have indirect seconds too, as do most older vintage movements because the indirect design is sort of a relic from when center second hands first became popular.
