Range all depends on how much you want to pedal and your weight. I sometimes have it set so the motor cuts out at 15mph, so the motor is used for accelerating quickly from stops or climbing hills and then I can easily maintain speed above that on flat ground (so the range will be very long, just depends on how many stops or hills I run into). If I was using just the motor then I could probably run it down under 10 miles flat out (just a guess, I don't take much notice of what range I actually get).

Most go 8-10 mph and the one I got can go 10 mi. on a single charge (w/ 2000 mAh battery) - which is very efficient. it makes going to stores in a 1 mi radius take only minutes to get to.
