DEC had some ads around, maybe I can track them down.
Dunno about SGI though, they never seemed to have that big of a marketing machine.
Apparently they pushed some shit on BYTE, but I don't think there are many easy to scan archives of that magazine out there.
Also, I wouldn't throw those magazines out unless they're totally wrecked, shit like that is worth preserving, doesn't really take up much space and is always fun to look through.
