I need to set up a small devblog for my graduation thesis, already made the website using flask, but since I'm a poorfag I can't afford a shitty server and host it locally.
Should I just get a cheap VPS or use amazon web services?
What do you guys do?
>Host locally
>Minivps.us 5$ year.
>Free webhosting + cheap .info domain
How poor can one be this poor. Spend less money on booze and weed and invest it. Sheesh

For a blog?
Github pages
or
Neocities
Github involves knowing some git to update your site.
Neocities has some upload apis but its not as mature.
They both provide free hosting.
My school has free hosting.

Amazon offers free one year ec2
I think you need a credit card tho.
Also, you could just run the server at home and setup the router so you can hit it externally, ie. from school, that's what I did for my thesis.
get a rapsberry pi and host it there

Google Domains + GitHub Pages for static site ($12 / year)
Google Domains + Digital Ocean for dynamic site ($12 / year + $5 / month)
See lowendbox too.
Portforward port 80
Create an xampp server
Run your server
Use your ipv4 ip so anyone can view it or use a virtual IP like hamachi/tunngle
Use client machine at school with the same sever as hamachi/tunngle so only you can connect to your server for security reasons.
