How much GPU power do you really need to run a triple monitor setup at 3840 x 2160? I have decided iRacing has become more than just a time killer and really want to do a 3 monitor 4k setup with Fanatec Rennsport :)

980 or fury at a minimum, ideally a fury X or 980Ti

Team 5760x1080 here. Memory is your biggest bottleneck. All those pixels gotta be stored somewhere.

My biggest issue with the Fury and Fury X is that they're stuck at 4GB RAM because there's physically no space on the HBM magic chip for 8GB. Unlike 980 or even the earlier AMD cards where the manufacturer can put as much RAM as they want off-die.

You may have to wait for HBM2 and an 8G solution if you want a long-term (3-5 year) card for triplewide at that resolution. Which is what I'm doing. But it is kinda frustrating.

Triple native 4k? Not fucking possible. Not even a Titan Z can drive that. Linushilltips did a video on it.

My sli gtx 610's run a quad 4k setup

Gtx 970. It has 4gb of ram for higher resolutions.

It doesn't run games at triple 4k you nigger
>>
OP, get a curved ultrawide or an oculus rift. (idk if iRacing supports VR though)
Triple 4k really isn't possible, and I would imagine the bezels would be annoying anyway

X card is what you need for X
shut the fuck up you fucking mongrels.

What you are looking for is very unrealistic. I would rather suggest doing 3 smaller 1080p, maybe a max of 26" but try less than 24 inch and you could probably do good with 2 970's, maybe a 980ti for iRacing. You might be able to get away with less but I'm not sure. As for pretty much every other game's it's such a fucking spectrum you can't tie it to one or 2 cards.

You can't be serious

I think that dumbfuck is serious...

Anyway, I need a new wheel. I used to have a g27 until the rotary wheel inside for messed up. Wheel wouldn't center properly and I returned it for a wiiU(a grave mistake on my part). Now I'm wondering if I should just give the g27 another try or what. Can't really afford to spend south in an accessory I won't be using every week.

might as well get a miata track car for the amount of money you're going to spend

You mean 3.5 GB?
