What image tagging application do you use? I've been wanting
Images are sometimes not shown due to bandwidth/network limitations. Refreshing the page usually helps.

What image tagging application do you use? I've been wanting to tag my growing collection of (mostly animu), but the default Windows image tagger is horrible. The main problem is that it can't tag images that aren't .jpg or .bmp. Is there a lightweight, free image tagging application that people use?

Mostly anime hunh? Well no shit. Don't want to tag pictures of your girlfriend, friend, life events? Just anime... and lots of it...

There's one that I forget what it's but it's part of some windows update. It's pretty fast and lightweight.

Just use file names. This way it's built-in in your browser's file picker. It's also one of the reasons I can't use Linux.

what the fuck this is amazing

Bump...

I am also looking for this kind of solution.. something lightweight, tag-bulk-edit and search color.

There's an extremely heavy weight p2p distributed booru some people use for tagging called Hydrus Network but it's probably not quite what you want

Oooh, I had the same issue.

Unfortunately, there just isn't really anything. The closest I've gotten is the Windows Photo Gallery application which you can add tags pretty easily but its still just not made for that purpose.

I've found it easier to just manually sort my pics in a folder hiarchy.

Gelbooru should use that.

What sorcery is that?! Why the rest of the world isn't using it.

Have you ever had a hard drive crash? How hard is it to backup your tags and shift them to a new system? I don't want to tag my thousands of images only to have it disappear if my system dies
>>
>>52115179
Can't quite remember, but I think picasa creates a hidden file in each directory that contains images that lists the tags, so it should be recoverable.

so if you just beackup those files when you backup the images picasa will/should be able to detect them on a new system when you copy them over?

While we're on the subject, I user ReNamer to give all my images a name that's a string of 8 numbers

I use hydrus. It's definitely not lightweight and it takes a bit to setup, but it works really well for my needs. can't post a screenshot to demonstrate since I use it to save porn, but it would work well for sfw images, too.

I just use filenames. Works fine, simple tags for shit like reaction images ("face", "smile", etc) and whatnot.

Works like a charm.

I need something like that but for cbr/cbz files (for my sadpanda collection). If I could in some way sync the sadpanda tags with my files that would be perfect.

I just have multiple directories serving for their own purposes, and often I share hard link to a file between directories when I deem it necessary (For example, a smug anime girl could go into both anime and reaction directory)

>but that's not tagging!
Sorry, I'm not a low functioning autist who would actually care about organizing his images into rather pointless tags like '1girl' etc.
