Surprised at well it's held up. Hoping it lasts till next January. Only complaint is the screen is a little dim for outside use in sunlight . anyone else notice this?

Hello g4 friendo. Just got mine after having an HTC One M7 forever. God it's nice having 80gb of storage available. Why manufacturers insist on never increasing storage past 32gb of EMMC makes me want to slam my head in a wall. Flash drives have absolutely plummeted in price and you're r telling me Samsung couldn't make 64gb the default size?

Anyways, the g4 is great but I'd prefer it more like 5", but on the plus side the larger size and 2k display make it a damn good Google cardboard platform.

Forcing you to use cloud services and cheaping out on prices for flash memory. Even if it has gone down.

The only thing to drive competition in this stagnating joke of a market is a competitor with no vested interest in maintaining it. Which are currently the chinese.

Just convert the .PDF to .JPG, then connect the iPhone with USB and load it to the Photo folder on your iPhone, then simply view on phone as photo.*

*assuming you activated that feature with iTunes at any point in the past. And really why won't you? As it basically let's you use your phone as a USB key for .JPG files?
>>
I just bought the LG v10.

I previously had a 2013 moto x and the build quality for that was just terrible. I used to work overnights at a target doing trailer unload and working in the backroom/freezer, so I was constantly moving around and was quite active. The headphone jack for the moto x stopped working after about 4 months of having the phone. So I sent in that phone and got a new one from motorola, and the same problem happened again. This time, the phone started to drop calls on me and I had a couple of other problems. At that point I was pretty much done with that phone, so I went to the verizon store and bought a droid maxx, which was a mistake. I encountered the SAME problems that the droid maxx, including the dropped calls and other hardware related issues. Never again will I buy a moto phone.

A bit off-topic, but is there anything to replace Quickpic now that it went full jew?

Yeah but the LG3 is actually useful. It's strong enough for a multitude of tasks from games and emulation to using hard processing of shit, file transfers and the UI is actually really clean, which I obviously can't say for Samsung, thou HTC has a good ROM too.

I had two friends with an HTC. Both threw it away after a few months, shit got unwieldy to work with. Would keep shutting down and stuff. My G3 occasionally freezes but that's that. Battery is good, can hold all day, more if I don't overdo it. Just what have you heard?

It's pretty damn fast. However, a bunch of apps are not optimized for Marshmallow so it just freezes them way too much.

It's like the perfect size when there isn't a case, but I have been hearing so many horror stories about the drops that I got one. Now it's a big unwieldy.

Oh and, fuck AMOLED screens. I got burn in on the soft buttons. Yeah, I can only see it in a very specific environment (a totally gray screen or some sort of unconventional color), but it's not fucking acceptable anymore, man. I can't just leave the phone on in the room as a podcast machine and do stuff because it'll get burn in. Resolution is top notch, and surprisingly, the battery is really good considering all of the factors.

Removable batteries?
>If only in the future we could develop such an advanced technology.

Honestly makers have started using integrated batteries as they could increase the cell size by custom form fitting it to the phone in ways removable can't. This extra cell size allows a few hours to be added to the battery life, but means it is near impossible to change and can't be swapped for charging.

Tell them we want fast charging, like just switch battery and go fast. Market under something like "HYPER fast charging" with a case of two or three batteries so the user doesn't have to wait. Convince them people will pay the difference in the extra cells (~$30) and not mind that each battery has slightly less charge then the internally molded ones as they can carry extra.

I mean there is a whole market of portable recharges, tell them they could have a monopoly on that by selling their own extra batteries instead. The fact they only sell the battery and housing means they could lower the price and still make good money, while bragging the faster charge time on the market.

Basically convince them there is money to be had in doing it! Then watch the markets work.

2015 Moto G

Been using it for three months now. To be honest, I'm kind of bored with it... not saying its a bad phone or anything but it feels like you can't do as much on this phone than you can with other phones. Plus, Motorola has been slacking with updates and custom ROMs have terrible battery life and camera drivers.
>>
>>52107278

I have a same phone, and with case its okay, and i have small hands.

Also, this burn in, after how long it showed?

Overall, superfast phone, and watching videos on it is pure joy with double speakers.

And you adapt to size of phone very quickly

Nexus 5X 32gb. If anyone is considering buying one, you have my guarantee it will be a good purchase. However, if you are the kind of person who likes to drain out the battery, get a different phone. Also it sucks that you can't expand the memory, and that's pretty much it's real downside.

Everything else though... You can tell they spent time designing this. Everything works, everything is stable, it's just the perfect size, it's snappy as fuck even though the hardware can't match the newest, most expensive stuff out there. I truly believe you don't need more processing power in a phone. This is such a huge step from all the nasty cheap android phones or old android phones which would just freeze up doing simple tasks. It's plastic, but a very nice kind of plastic, that feels really nice to hold. Sometimes I like to pick up this phone and just hold it because it feels so awesome, it's very thin as well. The thickness (or lack of) makes it feel really special.

But here's what makes it stand above other phones in its price range: The fingerprint sensor. It has been praised by reviewers, but I had a hard time believing how important this is. You won't have to tap in that fucking gay access code everyone and their mothers use, but your phone will still be secure even if some urban gentleman steals it.

So in short it's an absolute blast to use. Because I work at an electronics retailer, I got this one for little money, but having used it now I think I would pay the full price for it.

Considering getting this phone. I have an htc m9, but the sound is fucked (have to twist earphones for it to work). Not sure to just use the warranty and get a new m9 or trade it in for a Nexus 5x

Note 3 currently.

Costco in Canadaland has the Note 5 on sale for $25 on a 2-year term.

Should I wait until the note 6 comes out later in 2016 and hope the SD card returns, or just grab a 5 for now?

Before people scream about he 2 year contract, service for a phone with a data plan costs $55/mo regardless if you own your phone outright or not. Actually buying a phone off-contract is unheard of here and only retards would consider it.

Those do look useful but I would feel like such a cuck for letting samsung think they got away with it.

The SD option was one of the reasons I jumped ship from apple in the first place, and then apple follows suit. Had a regional rep at one of those samsung dog and pony shows try and tell me that consumers don't even want expandable storage anymore. "just use dropbox or other cloud storage options".

Have been using an LG g3 for a few months and like it. 1440p, SD slot, removable battery, 3g memory. Just flashed a Marshmallow rom today. I'll probably use this until privs are cheap. (Next year and a half or so)

iTunes is literally the only thing keeping me from switching to iOS.
