If I am only going to game on 1080p, is a GTX980 a suitable card to replace my 580 or should I spend the extra cash and buy a 980ti?

Also my temps are high because I'm currently doing some rendering work in Premiere and had to return to stock CPU cooler and also Fractal R3 case is a volcano.

gtx980 should be fine for 1080p, 980ti seems a bit overkill for that resolution, but should you purchase a new monitor in 1440p, it should be future proof.

Haven't updated anything on my build in awhile. I think the most recent purchase was the 970 and that's over a year old. Got it before 3.5 controversy broke.

Don't mind the placebo card. Only got it cause my onboard audio died. Went for as budget a mobo as I could get while having it still be considered "mid-range." I'm paying for that now.

ASPEED is integrated, the AMD Radeon HD7770 is what is used primarily, the ASPEED is disabled and the AMD Radeon HD7770 is passed to a virtual machine with PCI-E passthru.

10GB is being used by QEMU/KVM and other miscellaneous things.

In my experience, all Atoms even with hyperthreading suck at pretty much everything, although for a headless media server it should work. I think I have such a box lying around somewhere.

On a side not, I just noticed that inxi -F posts network MAC addresses, and posting those on in plaintext on an indexable online form might just pose a slight security risk.

Solution in the manual:
PRIVACY AND SECURITY
In order to maintain basic privacy and security, inxi filters out
automatically on IRC things like your network card mac address, WAN and LAN IP,
your /home username directory in partitions, and a few other things.

Because inxi is often used on forums for support, you can also trigger this
filtering with the -z option (-Fz, for example). To override the IRC filter, you can use
the -Z option. This can be useful to debug network connection issues online in a
private chat, for example.

I fully upgrade my system once a year because I have tons of money from my unfulfilling code monkey job, but due due Intel's fuckery, it would have been useless to upgrade from my 3770k to a 4790k. Thus I opted for something a bit more expensive to pair up with my DUAL TIITANS. This should completely blow these basement dwellers away and make me feel important in some way.

not bad. unfulfilling code monkey is close, but i don't get all that much money. i don't do full yearly upgrades either. i did upgrade from a 3770k though, and i did chose the MB and CPU to support my titans. which i bought for 4k gaymen.

Or you can do this:

>what is pressing printscreen button and having it automatically post the image to desktop or location of choice
>not setting up hotkeys like alt+printscreen where it dumps an image of current window only

You can do this in windows, you know. The OS isn't that limited.

It was my first build so I bought a $200 comp from a local store and used the Windows Key, Mobo, RAM, and Case. "RipTide: Let the Power Flow" label to identify it. Has 1 fan mount (back), no cable management options, and won't fit a CM 212, had to get a low-profile Scythe for my CPU instead, plus my 7970 wouldn't even fit in it.

That secondary drive is failing. It used to be the primary drive...
