so /g/ I am finally getting out of my parents basement and get to get my own internet. I hear terrible shit about comcast but they have 150 down as opposed to uverse that only gives 75 down max. Anyone care to share experiences between the two.
Data caps.

Comcast has them? Uverse too?
I was set on uverse because they offer good deals with direct tv, but I cant get satellite in my apartment so I would be getting Uverse TV which is more expensive

Almost every company has data caps, however I never met the cap before.
>>52095752
No company outside of Comcast has caps. Even then, only a small % of Comcast users have caps.

>complaining about 75
Uverse in my area gives 20.
>>52095238
Comcast has shit upload speeds if you play private tracker RPG.
>>52095238
Depends on your area. Where I am it's the best and fastest service for only a tiny bit more per month. They always have good introductory offers that will have you sitting pretty for the first 12 months. Make sure you ask exactly what your bill will look like once the promotion is over so you aren't surprised.
Customer service is what most people complain about but, news flash, customer service isn't great anywhere and you get back what you put in. What I mean is that if you call them up assuming you're going to have a bad interaction and/or are irrationality upset you're going to have a bad time. Those that complain about bad customer service with Comcast are likely bad customers; the type of people that that complain that the line at Burger King is moving too slow.

If you're worried about the caps then that means that you spend too much time on the internet. If you're in the top 1 percentile of internet users then your life probably sucks. The caps are in place by the government as a wake-up call to nerds who need to either reduce their internet consumption and provide for society in a positive manner or pay out the fucking ass.

Burden of proof is on you faggot, and also show me what % of Comcast users have caps.
>>52096212
i mean, that's easy to prove desu senpai.
Plenty of other ISPs in the US also have data caps, it just isn't all THAT common, and comcast is certainly the largest ISP with caps.
