Pretty nicely, but it sucks that you couldn't upgrade older models to WP8. Lumia 700 here, stuck at WP7. And none of the newer phones have matching looks without having a different form factor (I really like how the phone looks like a transparency-disabled PNG of a round phone). All the WP8 phones that have that look are much bigger, 5" or bigger.

battery life was horrible in the past builds, but the latest build is almost on par with 8.1 battery-wise. also, 10 is very smooth on lumia 535.

Nah, w.8.1. I like my 640, battery lasts quite good, so that's why I haven't tried upgrading to w10 yet. And the screen is quite good for what it costs.

Lumia 925, it's alright though I must admit I have no use for any apps beyond email and web browsing. I might switch, but depending on how the Win10 upgrade goes I also might stick with it.
I don't have a good feeling about the long-term health of the platform though.

from what I've heard 640 has a better camera, 550 has a smaller screen. Battery is a bit better on the 640. 550 is newer. It's down to your own preference, I guess, unless you dig some info to help you decide.
Well, I'm not sure if android is as future proof as wangblows but you have roms on android.
I had a hard time deciding between the two (moto g and lumia 640. I have no regrets. I use my phone mostly for browsing the web, taking pictures and such things. W8.1 is pretty smooth.

Yeah basically my iphone is shit because it is now getting stupidly slow and pissing me off. and the 8gb model only really has like 4gb of space which is nothing once you install a few apps as they are all fucking huge these days.
i listen to music, maybe once a month watch some netflix on the train, browse the web, listen to podcasts and audio books, etc. i dont do instagram or twitter, etc. the only thing is facebook messenger for keeping in touch with family desu.
i got the iphone because it was an ok deal at the time and it meant i could facetime and imessage with family but now we mostly just use facebook messenger as it works for us. as long as i can do fb messenger on the 640 i will probably just get that desu
I finally got rid of my Lumia 520, some relative upgraded their phone and gave me their Motorola XT919. I always was going on about how WPs were so smooth and shit, but even this piece of shit Android one kicks the Lumia's ass to the moon and back.
Only thing I miss about WP is downloading maps of complete countries and being able to access them without a data plan/wifi. Is there a mapping app in Android that does this? Because Google sure as hell doesn't.

I use fb messenger on my 640 and it works well, I have not had any issues yet.
The screen is quite big for a phone but for web browsing it's good. You should try the phone first in a shop, that's what I did (bought online anyway, since they wanted too much for it where I tried it).

yeah i think it is gonna be between the moto g and the 640. the moto g is a little more expensive but i think it is also a slightly better phone so probably worth it. i want to see if the UK moto g gets the new android though.
