Why do you purposefully hand over your data to a company who then sells it for ad revenue, uses it to manipulate their used, and watches every single bit of input inputted to their interface?
Social media is the epitome of spyware.
Do you not care, or are you just not aware?

I don't care anymore. These days if you want to keep with up someone you're pretty much forced to be on Facebook. Messenger and WhatsApp have become the standard to communicate and social gatherings are commonly planned through Facebook events. I'm just glad I can use Facebook without having to like, share or post anything.

Because my friends use it and I love my friends and id rather not be a freak like you.
Honestly the convenience of being able to communicate with friends with a couple of keyboard strokes outweights the fact they are spying on me.
I never had any of my real information on kikebook anyway. Literally weeb animu shit, fake names, I rarely update a status unless its something friends need to see. I'm fine.

Literal cuck.

I don't. I deleted my facebook about 4 months ago.
Pretty creepy when I was online in a really obscure forum discussing a niche topic and then I log on facebook and see news "trending" about that particular topic.

Because I have adblock, and I ignore ads.
I think refusing to use social media is foolish. It's a useful tool for people who have friends or want to keep an eye on events involving people they know. You just need to be aware they take advantage of your data, and not give them any data you don't want them to have. Yes, they'll have some record of the products you like. Just don't click on the ads, and you can't be "used" or "manipulated" at all.
I'm conscious of freedom and privacy, but I don't believe that every single thing you do must be private. You just need to know how to hide the things you actually need to hide. Everything else, fuck, I don't care if they know what porn I watch or what things I buy on Amazon.
