I disagree. When editing/animating, I often go frame by frame. Back when I was using a trackball I found myself having to zoom in all the time, but with a trackpad I don't need to (it was a cheap trackball I should add). Plus those things get dirty af.

False. I owned various Thinkpads my father brought home from work for the better part of a decade. Used to swear by them (and the clit), until I bought a Macbook Pro. Overpriced for what it is? Yes. Really nice though. Metal shell so durable, SSD makes a huge difference in speed, retina display is nice for video editing, etc. My HD is partitioned with 2 OS's. I use Debian mostly, but have to use OSX because Adobe Creative Cloud for work
