Every time I use windows, windows updates service hijacks svchost.exe and uses LITERALLY 1500mb of memory and almost 100% of my cpu
This is on a fresh install, vanilla iso from microsoft
Why is windows so fucked in the head?
>>
Windows 10? If yes, then this is "just" Windows checking for and installing updates. Enjoy your forced-down-your-throat installations at times you can't control.

>reinstall windows 7 for me mum once again
>put 32000 lines of filters in HOSTS file so hopefully this time the installation will hold longer than two months
>reboot
>laptop """""idles""""" at 60% of CPU usage because of svchost.exe (netsvcs)

Never saw it happening. Stop downloading ISOs from trash trackers, literal botnet.

downgrade to windows 7

botnet 10 literally had 100% cpu usage and 100% hdd usage at all times. I have no fucking idea how it managed that.

I love the DNS comic. I wish more tech comics would use dildoes to get their point across.

>windows updates service hijacks svchost.exe
It doesn't hijack shit, just about every windows service is under svchost.exe.

And it's probably using up so much BECAUSE it's a vanilla install. Let the updates finish and it'll go away.

Nope, trust me, as someone who WANTS to like Windows but can't
Every time you plug a device in the whole computer freezes while Windows Update desperately scrambles to find drivers
I am in love with FreeBSD now
