If he would have lost his much shut he would have faded into obscurity but he kept antagonizing them. Fat fuck deserves it.
>>
He should claim asylum at the Russian embassy

How does it actually work if you're imprisoned in a country (granted it's not a lifetime sentence) but you aren't actually a national?

If he will ever be released, does he have to go back to NZ or will he stay in the US?
>>
>>52030287
He has nothing to trade. At least Snowden had US government secrets.
>>
>>52030229
he isn't just a fat dude trying to make money
he fucking ordered to upload copyright infringing shit onto his users' accounts without consent
can't believe people still claim the us are the bad guys in this shit
>>

Than why are the creators of the onion router not accused of criminal activity. We all know what kind of sites are hosted there. Dotcom just provided a good storage and file sharing experience. He shouldn't be held responsible for what others hosted there

What power? In case you didn't realize, the extradition treaty is bilateral. New Zealand gained the same "power" over the US territories that it gave the US in its.
The United States has agreed to extradite people accused of certain crimes in New Zealand to New Zealand. New Zealand agreed to extradite people accused of certain crimes in the United States to the United States. New Zealand got the better part of the deal, since 4 US servicemen in a Blackhawk could take whoever they wanted, whenever they wanted in New Zealand and NZ wouldn't have been able to do dick-all about it. That's power. "Respecting sovereignty and offering a treaty with equally beneficial terms to be agreed upon freely," is not an exercise of power, it's one of diplomacy.

>At least Snowden had US government secrets.
Nah, he gave all his HDDs to journalists like Glenn Greenwald and co. before landing in Russia. Putin protects Snowden just to antagonize the US, not to gain secrets.

Tor was invented by naval intelligence. They aren't hosting any illegal as far as anyone is aware.
>>
>>52030424
>Than why are the creators of the onion router not accused of criminal activity
The hosts of sites certainly are. Silk Road, for one.
The network protocol has nothing to do with anything. Release bootleg CDs and DVDs over sneakernet, through unencrypted TCP/IP though regular internet routing, or encrypted over TOR -- it's all the same.
>>
>>52030502
It's Tor not TOR
>>
>>52030438
They take a citizen for no logical crime or accusations in order off a desire, this is terrorism

>He shouldn't be held responsible for what others hosted there
I didn't even talk about that you stupid fuck
there are internal e-mails of mega where he explicitly orders user accounts to be used for illegal shit
he lied over and over again to the public during his trial and his past doesn't look bright either

I'm all for pirating but this guy never cared for pirates or anything else but profit
>>52030849
fucking educate yourself before you blast shit from your butthole on here

Sometimes I wish some other country would wreck the US just a bit, they're just too confident and powerful. Please putin...

Kimmie is so fucking fat goddamn

Kinda impartial, he's recently been made eligible for NZ residency in the past few weeks which will make this extradition case void. At least for his accused crimes

I presume he's in the process for applying, don;t know if it would get accepted though.
>>
>>52030229
Mixed. On the one hand, I remember what he did when he was Kim Schmidt. We don't easily forget that.

On the other hand, nobody deserves this kind of shit. The seizures, the deletion of all the content, the evidence via undisclosed, unauthorised, illegal hacking? They certainly didn't do this to, say, Dropbox, and Dropbox did most of the same things.

I don't like the guy, but I dislike the way he's being targeted way more, even if I recognise that he deliberately makes himself a target. Consider it a canary.

Jacob's in Berlin and can't come back to the UK because of his Wikileaks connection and, you know, being a journalist with the Snowden documents. Andrea's over there, too, I think. Have to buy stuff with cash in person in random places to avoid it being interdicted/implanted - the only time Jacob ever does mail order is to feed reversers like me samples of Nation State Adversary (cough) malware for analysis!

The US government is in two minds about Tor: some parts of it enthusiastically support it as essential for dissidents worldwide in oppressive regimes. They fund it. Office of Naval Intelligence used to fund it too, and many parts of the intelligence community use it operationally. However, other parts of the US government - including the SIGINT sector, like NSA, and law enforcement, particularly FBI and DEA - utterly hate Tor and everything to do with it, would like to see it broken, backdoored (not even over my dead body), etc. But FBI and DEA also use it operationally, on a regular basis (at least, the ones who aren't complete retards do). It's an uneasy equilibrium, which is why Tor's weaning itself off US gov funding completely.

Also, "we all know what kind of sites are hosted there" - what do you even mean by that? If you're thinking of terrorist or child-porn related sites, Tor onion sites have hardly any of those.

How can you be extradited to a country you're not a citizen of and have never even been to?

There were apparently servers based in the US.

will their love survive this? :3

Its only interesting because it makes you think:
>There's no accepted peer-reviewed and academically sound model to measure damages from piracy
>The government still allows corporations to assign exorbitant damages for piracy
>The government spends incredible amounts of time and money on this sort of stupid shit -- again with no concrete measurable impact on damages it may have
>Literally fucks with foreign sovereignty and applies enough pressure to get a SWAT team to extract this fat fuck from his house

Its insanity. It just shows that hollywood corporations like Mother Disney have so much clout in government that they can do whatever the fuck they want.

>>52030308
Of course he does. Lots of HD bluray rips.
