/g/ hates it because it's an easy alternative to Arch and is fairly popular. It also has some annoying bugs and the devs are fairly incompetent.
I don't care. I used it for a while and liked it.

I loved the aur and realized how much fucking better it was than managing a dozen independent ppas for software, then every time I updated I had to recompile and manually hit "yes" twice for each update. I don't have 10 minutes to update my computer and do nothing else. I'm on it when I need it. It is quite literally a timesink OS

to each his own, i have nothing against arch or manjaro. aur is a good way to get software but i am on xubuntu because most games only work with ubuntu derivatives.
