Yup, can't really block webpage elements called by Javascript unless you block the Javascript itself (Which is what everyone should do).

I've been using the vanilla adblock extension for years now and it has never given me any issues. (I turned off that new allow non intrusive adverts)
Why should I switch? Haven't seen an ad in years. I heard this one is a resource hog but my PC isn't complete shit so I've never noticed.
Or you can just go to uBlock Origin settings and enable Anti-Adblock Killer | Reek in 3rd-party filters. Or you can use NoScript and not allow 4chan-ads.org to run scripts. Or you can do what >>52018717 does, because the ads aren't really annoying and doesn't damage your shitposting ability.
