32" 1440p master race.

15" 1440 is just as bad as those garbage 24" 4k uhd panels. For what purpose.

Nigga u dumb 4reel
Sitting just under half a meter away from the monitor:
1080p is good for screens up to 24", beyond that the pixel size becomes noticeable
1440p is good for screens from 26" to 32"
4K is good for screens from 32" onwards

Never go full retard and buy a 1440p screen under 24"

I have 24" Dell now and I'm afraid of buying a bigger display because I wouldn't be able to play on a native resolution without super expensive GPU.

Hell, there are games on 1080p that not even GTX980/16GB-DDR3/i5-4670k is running well with 60 fps without frame drops.
>>
>/g/'s face when companies are selling 4k 13" laptops
>>
>>52016957

Well you aready have a super expensive gpu so whats the problem?

Honestly any game you have trouble at 1080p with that card you are going to have trouble with anything, because they are badly optimized pieces of shit - if you want to power through that you should be ready to pay for 2x980ti

I use 1440p with a 970, TW3 is very harsh on it, everything else not.
>>
>>52016602i got two dell ultrasharp 24 in monitors they look great. Plus I didn't feel like shelling out almost $300 extra didn't seem worth it

Some people like the font rendering and lack of aliasing that comes at high pixel densities, you fucking nigger.
>>
>>52016602
Windows 10 scaling is pretty gud, shouldn't that monitor @ 125% look really good?
>>
>>52016692
>32" 1440p master race.

lolwut?

current patrician choices are 27" 5k, or even better, 40"+ UHD.

even my ten year old HP LP3065 (30" 2560x1600) BTFOs 1440p trash.

Fallout 4 has framerate drops from 60 to 40-30 in open areas of Boston.

Linux, OP.

Windows has shitty font rendering. So it's either too small or when it's large, you get a good amount of applications to have blurry, shitty text.

That doesn't happen if you use linux.

This thread is based on a completely wrong premise, I actually meant 25" screens.

Never change /g/, you'd all still be using 800x480 CRTs and 3200rmp hard drives if the OEMs hadn't rightly wiped them out.

Fucking morons.

check your vision son,
im on 4K at 27 inches and only 150% scaling.

Its not always about desktop size, but about the quality of the display, pixels so small you can hardly make them out, looks good.

I don't think they even make 15" monitors anymore. Are you sure you don't have two laptops?

Most decent modern applications work on my 4K 27" screen. Windows scaling IS shit, especially if you have monitors with different DPI, but things that I use like browsers, IDEs, text editors and shit like that either scale properly, or have competent zoom/font size customization.

Shit looks really sharp.

Not sure if this is the right thread but I just bought a 23 inch 1080p screen connected to my laptop (1366 x 768) via hdmi and the 23 inch screen is a bit blurry, especially noticeable when watching videos. They are both at 100% scaling and have the same aspect ratio.

I was just wondering if there was anything I could change with the setup to make it better or if it is just because the inbuilt graphics on my laptop isn't good enough. I have also updated the drivers for the inbuilt graphics on my laptop.

Thanks.
