why so overkill psu 400W would be enough
>>
Case: CM HAF lan box
Mobo: MSI Z97
CPU: I7 4790K
GPU: Radeon 7800 series OCd (next to be replaced)
PSU: Old Corsair 750W single rail modular
RAM: 16 gigs DDR3 1600

>still only pulling 5fps on chrome
>got mobo by mistake and decided to stick with it and switch to intel
>rocked a 965 BE before that, served admirably

Wanted to build a console killer, it works just fine. Went with Win8 because that's the only DVD I had lying around.

Which cooler should I get for a 5775C?
Also I can't tell if I should get a 5775C or a 4790K. Various sources claim that the 5775C is actually weaker, but the benchmark at the bottom of this page shows the 5775C performing better at stock voltages: http://www.maximumpc.com/intel-broadwell-dt-core-i7-5775c-review/
I'm not getting a skylake because of reports about it bending and also because it supposedly does not support DDR3 RAM properly: http://wccftech.com/skylake-does-not-support-ddr3-damage-ddr3l-only/
I already bought DDR3 ram for use in my new build I'm using in my current in the meanwhile.

Building this, just need to buy the CPU and GPU.

Case: H440 Red/Black
Mobo: Z97 Gaming 5 (higher performance across tests than $400 Assrock in benchmarks)
CPU: i7 4790K (higher FPS in gaming than 6700k)
CPU Cooler: Kraken X61
GPU: 980ti STRIX OC (better FPS in benchmarks than Titan X)
RAM: 2x8GB 1866mhz CAS 9 (lower latency better for overclocking 4790K)
Storage: Samson 850 EVO 500GB SSD and Seagate 2TB HDD
PSU: EVGA 750W B2

No GPU?
Hope you got some kind of deal for skylel, prices are fucking bullshit right now.

Is there any problem with buying a relatively cheap case if it has all the usual requirements (bottom PSU, enough HDD slots, good airflow, places for fans etc)?
>>
>>52015063

I've already got a r9 290x no need to get a new one untill I get a 3440x1440p Monitor
>>
>>52014908
No im not...
>>
>>52014930
Why did you get a windowed case then?
>>
>>52014768
This picture has basically become a meme.
>>
>>52014831
It depends on your gpu for the most part. More powerful gpu == larger power usage. If you have a low power card/integrated graphics 400 W is perfectly fine, otherwise you'll need more power.

GTX 970 and that Skylake i5 will have no problem with a 400W psu

Which motherboard should I pick to go with these?
