can we get an ipad pro appreciation thread going?
No.
No, it is only usefull as a giant mousepad

no senpai

I appreciate that it actually managed to get 1/4 the sales that Surface did in the same amount of time, which are already abysmal, so that says a lot about the ipad.

At least the Pencil breaks first.

This picture is so great. 3 absolute fails of design from a company who used to pride themselves on it.
I must admit, I did like the MacBook though.
why couldn't they just put os x on it instead of shitty ios?

I appreciate apple giving me a good laugh.

Literally, for what. My niece has an iPad and she got bored of it already. She offered to give it to me, so I can test websites on it.
She literally has no use for it anymore. She's playing all day with her phone now. The tablet is just collecting dust. It was just a fad, a gimmicky gadget nobody really needs anymore.

steve jobs no matter how much a dick wouldn't have allowed this shit. It's like the Apple flopage crap from the 90s is coming back.

I honestly think they might have made it too big.
11.9" might have been a better size, after seeing one in person i was amazed at how unwieldily it was

I love my Xperia tablet.
I don't use it too often, but it's fantastic for 2 very specific purposes:
Reading manga
Following cooking recipes in the kitchen
I don't want to drag my laptop into the kitchen where it might take some collateral damage, but the tablet is robust.

>Reading manga
I have zero interest in anything anime related.
>Following cooking recipes in the kitchen
I can do that on my phone.

>I have zero interest in anything anime related.
You can also read books.
>I can do that on my phone.
Yes, you can, but it's more convenient on a tablet with a stand. It makes it a stationary recepie book, and not a device you need to pick up to carefully read on.
I don't want my dirty fingers all over my phone in the middle of making stuff. With a tablet I set it down and I can easily read. With a phone I'd have to either pick it up, or bend down to get close enough to read the text, and even then there's a higher chance I'd have to scroll.

>tfw have tablet for netflix, web browsing
>have phone for on the go browsing, music
>have ereader for books
>have desktop for gaming, comfortable computing and browsing, media management, writing
>have newer thinkpad for doing the same thing outside of the house
>have old thinkpad to use linux on for fun
how do people live with only a laptop and phone? or just a tablet and no ereader?
>>52014822
i have;
>desktop for everything
>phone for telling the time and looking at porn in bed, also a flashlight
>laptop which i use if i go overseas or something
an ereader sounds nice, but i'm not sure where i'd use one
a tablet i can't think of a use for at all
>>52014864
the tablet is probably the least used device when I'm not at school. Using it is so fucking pleasant though. I have a zenpad s 8.0 and the screen is beautiful and it's light as shit.
and yeah, ereading makes me actually interested in reading again because its so much easier than holding fuckhuge books

>if you don't make it at x you work at y
One of the best memes of late. It has potential.
>>52012708
no thanks, here is what the average iPad Pro user looks like

Where The Verge burns Apple, they do it so subtlety but obviously, it's lovely.

>and yeah, ereading makes me actually interested in reading again because its so much easier than holding fuckhuge books
Fucking millennials, I swear
I use a tablet for reading pirated ebooks because real ones are pretty fucking expensive here and I'll get raped by shipping and customs. I'd love to buy the real thing though.
>>52015333
I own several physical books and it fucking sucks for traveling. Even just one book and I end up crushing pages no matter how carefully I pack it. Then there's the mildly annoying wrist strain when reading bigger books.
I only buy shorter novels on paperback. Something like Infinite Jest is like hauling a piece of furniture everywhere.

I love how everyone excuses this fat fuck for being morbidly obese and not having a legitimate job because it's "satire." Like suddenly, it's okay to be a total waste of space and a fat piece of shit as long as you're self aware.

When I first saw that Apple was making something called the iPad Pro, I figured "Huh, it must be kind of like the Surface Pro, running full OSX"
But lol nope. Just iOS. It's just a bigger iPad. That's pretty much it.
