I dont really have trouble with the UI, it actually looks better, cleaner and smoother. But yes, it looks like some settings are enabled like default and some of them cant be disabled. Although, its better than win 8.

I upgraded my licensed win7 pro to 10 and had some issues.
Installed fresh 10 and still have some issues with Firefox newest versions. For some reason Firefox fails to redraw tabs on daily basis so I had to install old 36 version and it works just fine.
Everything else seems to work the same way. I turned off all unnecessary shit I could without using some cool hacking programs.
I don't really see any difference with win7. I would use win7 even now but I just don't want to perform clean install again because I'm lazy.

i had windows 8.1 on my laptop, which i don't use all that much anymore when i'm at mine, as i since got a vastly superior tower, and since then i've had a slow and irritating experience with it, windows 8.1 was better, but for my tower i went back to win 7 and completely ignored microsoft's "plz upgrade! it's free!" message, because frankly, windows 7 is better in almost every way.

Objectively, there is no reason to update to Windows 10. It looks worse, Cortana is a gimmick, Edge is not bad but still years behind Chromium or Firefox, can't disable auto updates, can't stop it from phoning home, has compatibility issues, and, to top it all off, offers worse performance than a 6-year-old OS. I tried it for a month, so I'm not speaking out of my ass.
I honestly can't come up with even one reason it's better than 8.1. I thought it would be awesome, and even after reading so much shit about it online, /g/ too, I still thought I should give it a try. It did nothing but confirm all I'd heard about it. M$ is dead. I'll be switching to Linux soon enough.
