What is the most respectable laptop brand other than ThinkPad? Are there any companies making decent laptops, durability-wise?

Some HP EliteBooks, albeit less respectable than Thinkpads at the same price, and Panasonic business Toughbooks, but these ones are definitely not affordable compared to Chinkpads.

Dell business laptops

I forgot about the Latitudes. Damn. Otherwise, Dell suffers from its bad reputation about everything else.

Regardless of company, you want to go business class.

Same shit with cars, every manuf. has a budget line and a luxury or performance line. Business class is the laptop equivalent of this.

for "durable" laptops, dell XFR, panasonic toughbook, or getac. Or buy a pelican hard case or something and be responsible.

Toughbooks are really like, indestructible man.
Techrax is afraid of them.

Some says Panasonic built them to survive Chuck Norris's invasion.

I've liked my asus laptops but looking back on it...no

You most likely don't need a workstation laptop

Unless you plan to rock climbing or you abuse your laptop you don't need some bulky metal brick.

Lightweight/normie laptops are overpriced, overheat and usually throttle or just have shit specs.

The best option for laptops is to seriously buy a cheap $100-200 one and ssh into a server if you need computation done

MacBook Pro if you can afford it.
>>
if you're looking for consumer grade laptops, anything but acer and hp will do
