This is the best mouse of all time.
The above statement is irrefutable.
>>51979187
>mouse
>implying that every product from microsoft isn't legendary
Agreed
I found one of these outside an office and the mofo lasted me 8 fucking years
Perfect ergonomics too
You mean that specific one? Not the model itself, but that very exact one in the picture?
>>51979187
iem3.0 >>> iem1.1
>>51979304
Oh be quiet you pedagogical twit.
I use this one. Not sure about the model but it just works. Even after 10 fucking years! (think i bought it in 2000). It fell off once and some plastics that hold everything together broke but i used heat and pins to fix it. It should probably last for another 10 years now
>>51979660
3.0 is probably better for home office but I found the 1.1a to be the best gaming mouse I've ever used. Can find on ebay or alibaba for like $10, much more worth than any meme product like gayzer, logishit or badseries.
>>51979187
masterace
>>51979187
NOPE!
kensington mouse-in-a-box. doesn't chafe the surface of whatever you put it on like crap heavy burdensome feeling microsoft mouse. oh thanks for a peek at that atrocious red light thru the back of the mouse m-soft really needed that, important for me to know. lmoa grow up wat is this two thousand & two? kensington mouse in the box SEXEY profile fits ALL needs feels GREAT my fav used to be logitech m100 it had a thinner cord t.b.h. but crapped out on me with the infamouse logitech double click issue, the piece of sh*t.
>>51979187
the intellimouse 3.0 is the best mouse. 2nd place for io1.1, to be honest fäm
My mx 518 begs to differ
>>51980900
first guy in the thread who gets it
>>51980969
My mouse-in-a-box nigga!
>>51979187
Have that mouse wich I inherited from a previous co-worker, BUT:
> 2015 , using previously owned peripherals
> Guy was a heavy smoker
So considering this, I've already dismantled it and submerged the plastics into a solution with isopropilic alcohol for a couple of days, but the yellowing haven't dissapeared.
Should I use it? or just discard it
Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.
The absolute best mouse ever is the Microsoft Sidewinder X3.
>>51983545
not like your hands will smell of smoke
just fucking use it
>>51983623
>Microsoft Sidewinder X3
but the scroll wheel on mine turned into a gummy piece of mush after 2 years
>>51983545
The mouse yellows due to a reaction between bromine mixed in its plastic and exposure to UV light.
To undo the yellowing, submerge the shell in 3% hydrogen peroxide and expose to UV light (THE SUN) for a few hours.
Old shit. Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 has all the good things of other mice with programmable buttons and that sexy smooth scrolling
>>51979934
>>51980900
My niggas. Anyone know of a modern optical mouse with similar dimensions? My scroll wheel's been acting up.
>>51985628
how has it been acting up? there's nothing in these mice and disassembly is easy, I recommend you try that. Also, I love the imo 1.1a but prefer "click" scrolls, and it's actually possible to convert it if you open it and put a folded piece of paper in the mechanism.
>>51979187
Crescent & star underneath MS logo.
MS confirmed Muslim.
>>51985813
The wheel will occasionally randomly scroll down one "click". This is extremely annoying in games like GTA where random scrolling means bringing up the weapons menu when I'm trying to shoot.
Anyway, I sort of answered my own question, and I'm looking at either the zowie ZA11 or ZA12.
>>51982140
This desu mx518 is God tier
>>51980969
shit pasta for a shitty mouse that doesn't have any thumb buttons
If it's not Steelseries it's not the best.
why doesn't MS make like really good keyboards or other peripherals, their mice are fucking godlike they clearly know what they're doing
According to some, the mouse is dead (just as the keyboard and the PC in general are) and this is just another hopeless luddite thread.
I used a Microsoft mouse on the same battery for 9 years. It's still going strong
>>51986331
SideWinder X4 is a great keyboard. Amazon price is far above msrp.
>>51986433
>$274 for rubber domes
holy fuck
>>51986331
Don't tell me a freetard would ever get and use anything Microsoft-branded, decent or not.
>>51986464
>>51979187
Don't mind me, just the best mouse in the world coming through
>>51986331
The Microsoft sculpt keyboard is fantastic. Just wish it was wired; it uses a proprietary dongle and you see them on eBay all the time with it missing.
>>51986455
Pretty sure it's discontinued and that's why it's so expensive. I bought mine for $60 or $80 ~five years ago.
>>51983884
>2 thumb buttons
if that mouse wheel clicks in that's all i ever need.
>>51986433
X6 was my favourite rubber dome ever, and it has the removable keypad.
>>51986417
Over the course of 9 years any battery should have died even if the device it was supposed to power wasn't used at all in the first place.
>>51986584
Tempting. Looks more "gamer" than I'd like, but I do like having the option of switching between tenkeyless and full. Might keep an eye on it.
>>51986671
Inb4 it's wired
>>51986573
Yea, thumb buttons and other non-standard extensions are only much good if you hardly ever leave your own setup. Once you do you'll suffer trying to use things which most likely won't be there.
>>51986680
the backlighting is pretty subtle, and there's a dial to adjust the backlighting level if you like that sort of thing.
>>51979954
>much more worth than any meme product like gayzer, logishit or badseries.
Not really. I have WMO in my drawer gathers dust for good few years now. Zowie literally made better IMO, so there is no much reason to use Microsoft ones anymore. Big reason why people stopped using those lies in Microshit not giving a fuck about their customers. People loved IMO/WMO for CS/Quake but Microsoft couldn't be bothered to release any kind of script or drivers to increase pooling rate, which is why they lost market completely.
My g400 is at least 3-4 years old right now and works as well as new. Hardly a meme product.
On the flip side if you are dirt poor then I guess getting WMO/IMO for cheap is the closest you will ever get to good mice.
