If you want to buy or learn about gaming screens, give this pic a look.
Does it answer all your questions? Did I make any mistakes? Is there more info that I can add?
Your feedback would be appreciated.
Or buy a CRT, best of both worlds.
[spoiler]If you can find a Sony FW900, prepare for it to BTFO any 1080p monitor/spoiler]

Can you still buy a new CRT screen?
>>51976434
No, it's an outdated technology.
>>51976500
Alright.
Any feedback please?
Also, the actual screen list is pic related, if anyone want to see. I am asking for feedback on the infoboxes at the bottom.
This is the infobox section for standard screens. As you can see, it is much more in-depth and detailed, than the gaming screen section, and hopefully covers normal screens well. I want to have the gaming screen infoboxes to be as good as this.
Any comments, suggestions, or criticisms would be welcome.

Why not list the 24" Acer Predator?
Cheaper than the BenQ with better colors (I think)
>>51976675
You mean 34"?
This? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009869
I find it annoying you insinuate need above 60 frames for gaming.
Not everyone plays garbage fast paced shootan.

>need
I point out, multiple times, that normal gamers do not need gaming screens.
>>51976761
Thanks. I will find reviews and see if it is worth adding.
>>51976714
>>51976761
Nevermind, turns out its only 9$ cheaper for you
>>51976802
The BenQ has really nice features for CSGO, like Black Equalizer, so def. keep that in there
>>51976802
The reviews for it are few, and the reviewers do not seem to like it as much, so I will probably not add it.
Thank you for the suggestion, anyway!
I guess I picked the wrong time for this, as everyone is asleep.
Bump?
since this is about monitors and gaming, i have a question to ask
in your dota guide, why are you recommending 16:10 over 16:9 or ultrawide formats? in dota 2, the wider the screen, the more you see, giving you a competitive advantage. only a dota noob would suggest going 16:10 (i.e. you see less of the gameplay, no you don't see more vertically due to balance by the devs) over 16:9 or ultrawide.
pic very much related, try doing that with 16:10

>in your dota guide, why are you recommending 16:10 over 16:9 or ultrawide formats?
I do not recall that I recommend any aspect ratio over another. Where do I say this?
>>51978002
>It is always better to get a higher resolution screen.
>always
since this is a dota specific guide it implies that dota should rather be played at 1200p than 1080p. in this very specific case this is not true, as i mentioned before. aspect ratio is more important than resolution for this game, just saying. sorry if i sounded offensive

>>51978035
I have added this, too.
Another bump.
>>51976413

Welcome. Send me an email once you have been using it for a few days!

Ultra-high-definition (UHD) is 3840 × 2160 while 4K is 4096 × 2160. It's incorrect to refer both of them as "4K UHD" with resolution of UHD.

The image itself is also non-accessible. You may be able to create something more accessible in HTML + CSS.

I am following the industry standard terms.
