I tried OSX on a hackintosh for a decent amount of time and didn't like the user interface at all. My understanding is the hardware isn't anything to write home about either (other than the displays). If I'm wrong, then I'd consider running Linux on a macbook, but I'd never run OSX.
I would also run Linux on Mac, it's a better OS

Just a minute ago - I needed catdoc/xls2csv utils. Guess what - it segfaults on OSX. And I run into such shit often.
Plus shitty and slow filesystem and lack of useful technologies like osx so your docker containers would run in virtualbox which is much slower.
