As it is just a Chrome rip off from the UI, and once Servo comes it will be even more like Chrome, almost no UI customization anymore, no userchrome.css options anymore, add-ons crippled thanks to only webextensions available with some special api created by Mozilla to make it a little bit more feature rich, but still tons less than XUL add-ons are right now.
Under the hood features are not everything. For a person who wants to customize the browser to the bone, both Chrome and FF are not delivering. Chrome has never delivered, Firefox is not going to deliver very soon.
The only chance for people who want to customize a browser will be Otter, when they are using QTWebengine and are supporting Chrome add-ons or some closed source software like Centbrowser, Slimjet or Vivaldi.
Technical wise, Javascript ES drafts are of no importance. The future is HTML5 - and at least in that Chrome is still leading the field.
