>Want to play this in a PC
>have 675$
Is this possible?
(I already ve a decent keyboard, mouse, monitor)
>>
>>51955107
Yes, get a i5 and motherboard combo, maybe with an SSD. Then get some $40 case. Then go for a GTX 970.
>>
>>51955298
This... Alternatively get amd 8350 and a used 980 ti
>>
>>>/PCB/
>>
>>51955298
Would an SSD be worth the investment in a budget build? Maybe so since it's a bethesda game with a ton of loading screens.
>>
>>>/v/
>>
Easily. I play on an old Core 2 Duo optiplex that I threw a 7750 into, bringing the total cost of my machine to an earth-shattering 112 USD.
>>
>>51955107
I found it for like $45 on some deal websites activated on steam just fine don't listen to anyone that says you need $675 to play it.

THAT'S WAY TO MUCH YOU COULD ALMOST BUY A WHOLE ANOTHER COMPUTER!
>>
>>51955107
Perfectly affordable, my PC is worth roughly $650 and runs it at 60 fps on med-high
>>
>>51955429
Yes. My old SSD is too small and I installed it on my mechanical hard drive. The load screens are horribly long and frequent. I recently upgraded to a 500gb SSD but I just installed it so I haven't got to play the game yet.
>>
>>51955107
If you like potatoes, yes.
>>
its playable on my dell m3800 laptop with crappy quadro gpu on low settings.
>>
>>51955429
The loading times in Fallout 4 are ridiculous with a HDD. An SSD is practically mandatory.
>>
>>51955298
Thanks, will consider,
Could be a pe-built?
>>51955517
Really? 30fps maybe ?
>>
>>51955458

wtf...I have an i5-2400 with a 750Ti and it runs like dogshit on low settings.
>>
>>51955614
I read that it needs a 2gb graphic card to run in low-medium setting
>>
>>51955545

Here you go OP:
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pYx8d - Basic build sans a GPU.
http://gpushack.com/collections/amd/products/r9-280x-gaming-3g
GPU for the rig.

Comes in to $651.
>>
>>51955748
750ti comes in 2GB and 4GB
>>
>>51955107
Yes, very easy here is how:
CPU: Amd FX-6350
CPU cooler: Evo 212
Mobo: any Amd mobo with heatsink on mosfet
GPU: HD 7950/7970 or GTX 960/970
Memory: speed doesnt matter, try to get 8gig
Case: basically any case with do
PSU: depends on what GPU, but my antec 620w semi-modular bronze works well with either HD 7970 oc'ed and GTX 970 oc'ed along with CPU oc'ed as well

Basically, overclock the FX-6350 to 4.5ghz, should not be hard, but it has pretty decent performance even a stock speed

All of the 4 GPUs I mentionned doesnt require OC even GTX 960 and HD 7950 will run the max at max settings (just turn off godrays/shadow distance)

Thats about it, was easy

Source:
Roomate 1, has gtx 760 (max settings)
Roomate 2, gtx 960, max settings
Roomate 3, hd 7970, max settings
GF, HD 7950, max settings
Me, gtx 970, never use more than 50-60% no oc at max settings
>>
>>51955879
I seriously dont recommend the FX 8320. I was using an FX-6350 and ''upgrated'' to an FX-8320 because I got it for free. I've got a huge performance lost compared to the FX-6350 while playing Fallout 4.

The game doesn't use all the 8 cores, nor it use all of the 6 cores. What really matters is the single thread performance from your CPU and the FX-6350 has way better single thread performance and is also much more overclockable.

So yeah, FX-6350 > FX-8320 for Fallout 4 for certain
>>
>>51955980
Price is still on budget either way, OP just replace the 8320E in the list with a 6350.

Total price with 6350 for that build is US$645.90 - should be a good build for that budget.
16GB of RAM and all.

>No SSD but OP can get one later.
>>
>>51956024
Thanks, really useful experience,
Honestly, is there any game that use those 8 cores?
>>
>>51956024

Yeah, 100% agree with your build except for the cpu. Of course an FX-8350 would be more future proof than the 6350, but kinda too pricy for the purpose of this thread. OP upgrade later

>>51956075

Hum, not really. Crisis 3 seems to use more than 4 threads when I play, but idk. Maybe when directx 12 comes out, but not atm. That the main reason why intel has much better cpu performance for games and the same reason why I recommend 6350 over 8320

>>51956075

No, not really. Maybe when directx12 comes out but not atm.
>>
>>51956433
Yeah,
But in this situation, is better to use an AMD because of the price, right?
>>
can I run it with gtx 750 ti

I wouldn't know. I rather spend my mum's money on bags of weed then support the people that make my entertainment. runs GTA IV maxed though

K thx

I play video games for a living. last thing I wanna do is spend my free time in some skinner box
>>
Im playing it heavily modded with a hybrid of mid and ultra settings on my fx6300 and 7850
>>
>>51956683
Nice, any mobo recommendation?
Also, the 7850, is the 2gb version, right?

>>
>>51956725
Im using a gigabyte 990fx but i wanna move to a mobo that supports ddr4
>>
>>51956725
Also the 7850 is a 2gb version. Im gonna go for an r9 380x for an upgrade cause the card is 3 years old though its still going strong
>>
>>51956803
AMD doesn't support DDR4 right now. And it's going to be a pretty long time before DDR4 is much better than DDR3-- they're currently pretty similar. Don't worry about it yet.

Go the fuck away retard.

There are no games this or last gen worth buying a PC for
Fo4 is garbage
Fo4, visually, is an ugly trainwreck
Get a ps4 and buy the ps4 version so you can sell it back.
>>
>>51955409
I have a FX 8350 and a gtx 960, I went with an expensive case (corsair 500r, $110) for good air flow and cable management. I spent $700 total and I get 60 fps everywhere in fo4 at 1080p, though I turned godrays to low and anti-aliasing off.

If you need AA in your life get a gtx 970 or a similarly priced AMD card. AMD gpu's have better price to performance ratios usually. I only went with a 960 because I had a cheap ASS power supply and it was heavily discounted at the time.

also post in the /sqt/ or find a pc building thread you fucking newfag
>>
>>51956520
>>51956562

You definitely can run the game, but don't expect to play above low/medium settings without lag.
>>
I would seriously advise you not to go the AMD cpu route, grab an i5 4460 with a cheap mobo and start from there.
>>
>>51955614
What resolution do you run at?
>>
>>51955107

OP do this

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HC4zJx

If the mail-in rebate doesn't go through it will put you at 674 dollars

For the love of god ignore these people recomending amd cpus to you. They are fucking SHIT. And fallout is a memevidia game, I've heard of problems with amd cards so for minimal hassle just throw a 970 in there.

It's a complete garbage game by the way. Enjoy your buyer's remorse.

Alternatively do this >>51958044 and you'll be able to play Bloodborne after you drown in disappointment with Fallout 4. Best game this year by far.
