It's been a while since I looked at sd cards and there's a shitload of acronyms I don't know now. Just looking for a cheap one for my clip+, would this one work or be junk? What the hell should I even be looking for these days?
That's a MicroSD with an SD adapter, you'd want a full-sized SD for the Sansa. Pic related would be your best choices.

Oh shit, what the fuck? Those are MicroSD cards too. Looks like MicroSD is the new meme. Give me a sec, I'll try to find an actual SD card
>>51952771
Nah it's definitely the small one it needs. The adapter would be handy.
Is it best to go brands then, like SanDisk?
>>51952792
Definitely. Go SanDisk, Samsung, Kingston, etc etc etc. Never heard of Toshiba making memory, only laptops.

It IS an actual SD card. Micro SD is 100% compatible with SD. If you decide at a later time you need a Micro SD card for some new device simply pull it from the adapter.

Ok cool thanks, makes sense.
Just trying to to decide whether it's worth upgrading from 32gb to 64gb instead of getting a 8gb rather than 4gb. Seems a no brainer with how the clips are increasing and sd cards are so cheap now.

interesting. does the MicroSD stick out of the adapter though?
>>51952920
There is a tiny ridge that makes it higher depth wise so you can pull it out with your thumb. Length is flush. There are obviously some benefits of having a full sized SD card namely it's easier to have larger capacity. If you're getting 64GB or smaller and a Micro SD isn't more expensive than a regular SD, get the Micro. Just make sure it comes with an adapter which most do nowadays.
Class 10 = certified wiĆ¾ at least 10MB/s read write
UHS-I = Card has a bus interface speed of up to 100MB/s

Anything Class 10. The acronyms are just the specific tech inside it.

Remember, for the clip+, when using high capacity SDXC cards, you need to reformat it as FAT32. I have a rockboxed clip+ w/ 128Gb, works fine.
