Having used Fedora and Debian I don't really see the difference. Basic operations are all the same, terminal works pretty much the same as well. I just don't see any reason as to why anyone would use ubuntu. It's like using WIndows Vista, it just werks too, but it's the shittiest functioning OS.

it can run shell scripts, it can run most linux applications, the issue is that it has no standard package manager, you have to either install portage yourself or install a program called chromebrew
