What is the fastest browser? Some recent bullshit that mozilla pushed has firefox bottlenecking at using one core of my cpu and being slow as shit. Older forks like waterfox and palemoon don't give me these problems but at this point I'd rather completely leave the firefox bandwagon as they slowly turn it into a shittier chrome.
What options do I have? I've heard some good things about IE 11 but it could all be Microsoft shilling and with edge being their new software I can't see them supporting it. I'd rather not use google's botnet so chrome is a no go.
What else is there?

It is impossible for that benchmark to be legit; it must have used different machines for each browser, which means that one browser may have been running on a faster machine (the Mac), while the others were running on a slower one.
And it must've been a very old shitty PC as well, since Sunspider gives me 99ms on Internet Explorer and 89ms on Edge, 200ms on the latest stable 64-bit Firefox, and 184ms on Chrome.

IE11 and Edge are great but they almost completely lack add-ons and customization. There is adblock for IE11 and there will be adblock for Edge once they re-introduce addons for it, but its not there yet.
Unfortunately your only choices are either Firefox (which is starting to become a piece of memory leaking bloated shit again), and Chrome (botnet).
If MS Edge was being run by a competent community manager, it could destroy both Chrome and Firefox - the tech behind the browser is SERIOUSLY good, but they keep falling short because they pay attention to stupid shit that no one cares about, while not giving stuff that people would actually want.
