You're not even trying to bait, I feel insulted. I won't even post an image.

As long as loonix has to rely on broken software like this, it's not secure.
bit weak m8

I don't use grub and the kernel doesn't even need a bootloader on uefi.
>physical access
Or you just plug a usb stick with your own bootloader and bypass any security of any OS.
>hack into a number of Linux distributions
you mean into grub, grub is a bootloader, it runs before the OS
>immediately bypasses the lock screen
the grub lock screen, which absolutely nobody uses. this is unrelated to any security setup in linux, by the way, as at this point, linux has not yet been started
what DE should i use on debian
>>51947088
Protip: You can 'hack' windows the exact same way.
>>51947625
whatever you want
>>51947633
the windows bootloader has no security
neither does the osx one

Grub is not linux tho

If this was a news about MacOS or Windows, you would be stoned to death by corporate fanatics calling you tinfoilhat.
Remember your own analogy, you have nothing to hide.

If you let a shifty lookin nigger touch your rig you deserved it.

Well there you go.
This bug doesn't seem to really do anything of note. It lets you bypass grub's own lockscreen which no distro even uses anyway. If you had physical access you could just as easily plug in a flash drive with grub on it and boot to the OS on the disk that way skipping the protected bootloader. Windows and OSX don't even offer a lockscreen on their bootloaders in the first place

That is prolly the best b8pic i've seen.

That was a good try . Still a b8, m8.

Use GRUB they said...
Just adding a EFI stub is a meme they said...

Bullshit, just tried it, doesn't work

What the fuck? I don't get it. How the hell are you supposed to actually log in on the Linux system without even having booted Linux yet? GRUB is 100% irrelevant after it has loaded the kernel, and anything before the kernel is loaded is completely and utterly irrelevant from a security standpoint.
