So guys, I bought a mechanical Keyboard now.
Its the 710+ from logitech, it was like 70$. Im typing on it right now, its kinda weird because the keys have a smaller distance between keys than my old shitty non mechanical one, but i really like typing on it.
The Keyboard has Brown Switches and they feel good, but its my first mechanical Keyboard in General.

I don't actually "rest" it on the wood, I use the wood as a reminder to keep my hands floating above they keyboard. Basically when my wrists lightly brush up against it, I keep them hovering just above.

Honestly, don't do it if you can avoid it.
I've converted my clears to ergoclears, and that was only a 60% worth. It's incredibly tedious to do it. Plus the switch tops don't sit right so the switches become a little more loose.

Been lurking on this thread all night to determine what to get as my first mechanical keyboard. I ended up deciding on the original CM Storm QuickFire Rapid keyboard with MX browns. Thanks for your share of knowledge!
I'm probably about to get my first mechanical keyboard and from my decidedly non-extensive research, it seems that mx brown would probably be the best type to try first, as I'd prefer a non-noisy keyboard. According to one popular price-comparison website, the cheapest full-sized keyboard with cherry mx brown switches I could get locally would be Durandal G1N at around 80€, with the second cheapest being Durandal G1NL at almost 120€ and the ones after that starting at around 140€.
Any advice? A quick search seems to turn up mostly positive reviews for the G1N, but I probably couldn't tell if the reviewers were full of shit, so would it be a good choice, considering the price? I don't have PS/2 port, so would NKRO(as opposed to 6KRO) and other features really make enough of a difference to pay extra 40€? I mostly use the keyboard for typing as opposed to gaming, so I doubt having more than 6 keys pressed at the same time is something that would come up very often.

Regular rubber domes, which are more extreme than Topre in that aspect.
Buckling springs have a sharp resistance drop at actuation, though resistance starts to grow again after actuation.
