Is this shit any good?

Purchase a shitty GPS with a Windows CE sticker and find out.

it follows the finest tradition of Microsoft Windows products.

Whoa just nostalgia'd hard.
The hardware was nifty, don't think the OS quite lived up to its potential though.

i had an ericsson mc16 with CE2 and a compaq ipaq with CE3. they were turds with short battery lives bad connectivity and no software.
if you want a good vintage handheld get yourself a psion 5mx or a palm Vx.
I had a Jornada 720 back in the day and loved it.
I kind of wish devices with this form factor were still around, now that mobile hardware is so powerful and we have high-res displays that make much better use of space.

I love the sega dreamcast. I think there are a few private quake 3 and phantasy star online servers still in operation to this day.
Can anyone else see "colors" in that Windows flag that aren't really there? I don't know if it's my display, or if I'm seeing this illusion because of how hard MS shoves their branding down people's throats.

That all-blue IBM logo should have been the standard for some ThinkPads. It looks fucking good.
The one really good part about windows ce was: Microsoft pushed it HARD. The embedded platforms at the time could not keep up, so MS put pressure on the SoC manufacturers to make faster models with more RAM. WinCE still sucked on these, but it could no longer blame the limitations of the hardware.
