Need some super-noob tier help here, /g/.
My Motherboard is the Gigabyte P43-ES3G.
I was wondering wht a good set of 16gigs of ram is that I could pick up for it. I was looking at http://www.amazon.com/Komputerbay-PC2-5300F-Buffered-Heatspreaders-UNBUFFERED/dp/B005HIWD32/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1450469245&sr=1-1&keywords=ddr2+ram+16gb but I'm not 100% sure. You guys willing to help with some suggestions? Would I even need 16? Could I go with a solid 8 if the ram is really good?
Any RAM will do just make sure the reviews are good
A few people suggested Kingston RAM, is there any specific reason why?

That memory is ECC and is BUFFERED, It's desingned for servers. it won't work on your mb.

Oh!
Well, if you were going to buy some DDR2 ram for your PC for gaming or multitasking, what would you get? Amazon links preffered.
Why is DDR3 memory way cheaper than DDR2 memory???
>>51934179
It's an Antique
>>51934328
That makes 0 sense. ._.

DDR2 is old and busted, DDR4 is the new hotness. Soon, DDR3 will be more expensive, too

I just don't understand the logic behind the older ram being more expensive.

Only newer RAM gets mass-produced?
Well, if anyone would be willing to link me on Amazon to some decently priced good DDR2 RAM. Either 8 or 16 gigs. That'd be awesome.
>>51934561
The manufacturers might not have their production optimized for that so the cost goes up.

Yeah, no, what do we look like? Your personal search engines?
Buy a new mobo with ddr3 support, it's a better choice.
At least you could use the ram again on a new pc.

Yes.
I only ask people to link me because I'm still kinda unversed in this and can't tell whats server memory on amazon and whats not. Some also seem to be listed wrong according to reviews.
