I have the S4 as well but I don't know about 10 years.
It is not a great phone by any standard but unless they come up with something better than more cpu power as the reason for upgrading, I won't upgrade.
It will break eventually (did a couple of times during warranty and got a new one just before it expired) but as long as it get updates it will be a decent phone. I am guessing a year is the maximum I would keep it after updates stop.

It can be rooted and install custom roms and you can set your resolution lower, but the problems is most of them still seem to have terrible battery life. I think stock, root, and uninstall bloat is the best choice for battery life. Also 3rd part roms turn the camera into shit in my experience.

I got my first android the other day. Still getting used to things, but I've been noticing that my notifications for certain apps like GroupMe or Snapchat are really inconsistent. So much so that they won't show up in the notification bar or at the top of the screen, they'll only show when I go into the app. It's pretty irritating. Anyone know how to fix it?
