You don't need anything to install gentoo.

One for gaymen / web browsing (on the left), middle one for work, code, etc. One on top of middle one for Skype (normie friends), and my computer is on the right of my desk.
>>
>>51929984
seriously now, I mainly need it as I work in audio engineering, so I generally have my audio editor on my 21:9 screen, and files on my 16:9 screen.
On my second, I have my DAW on my 21:9 screen and the mixer on the 16:9 screen.
On my third virtual desktop, I put Tweetdeck on the 21:9 with Skype, and web browser on the second screen.
On the fourth, various windows for shit.
>>
Work. Code on a, test/notes/email/distractions on b.
>>
>IDE/editor on one monitor, terminal, API documentation or actual program on the other
>Word processor on one, reference materials for the paper I'm writing on the other
>Browser on one, IRC or video player on the other
>Game where I'm doing something boring (like questing in WoW) on one, browser or video on the other
>Basically everything I do on my machine is with two monitors
>Feels weird to have only a single monitor as I always have loads of virtual desktops open when I'm on my laptop
Then again I've been using dual monitors since 2007 so I guess not everyone is ADHD as I am.

What's wrong with using virtual workspaces?
I running fine with 4.

My 2nd monitor arrives today.

I think I'm gonna DM in CS:GO while watching videos on it.
>>
>>51929984
Primary for games/video or whatever other programs I open.
Secondary for browser, chats and whatever programs are always open.
>>
One for general use, the other as a clock.
>>
Better question is what software do you use to manage multiple monitors?
>>
>>51931804
Before Windows 10 I used Ultramon.
Since I upgraded nothing, since Windows 10 natively supports multiple taskbars.

Usually as a reference to something.

IDE in one screen, webpage with the output on the other if doing webdev stuff.

IDE on one screen, API docs on the other.

Communications software on one screen, terminal output in Hyper Terminal on other to see what's what with the hardware.

to people who don't know anything about music they associate speakers with being old and shitty compared to modern $200 headphones

I use the superior Windows operating system, I don't need two monitors. At any time, I can just use the epic Windows-key+Tab combination to magically switch between applications.

The sound, maybe?!
There's everything wrong with that setup if you care about music listening: The placement (stereo triangle), the frequency range (fullrange lmao), the dynamics, the fidelity
I know that boombox, trust me it's pure garbage in your use case

>>51935160
have you reread that pile of words before posting?
