How does it make you feel /g/? How does it make you feel that people are running out of business because of you?

STOP FUCKING HIJACKING MY BROWSER WITH YOUR ADVERTISING THEN
>>
>cost of blocking ads
There are 0 costs to blocking ads as people who ad block weren't going to buy your crap anyway
>>
Nobody likes ads senpai, so I don't care.
They only apply to the people who are super hungry at the time and see a taco bell ad and want to go get it.

"Wow I'd sure love to watch some ads today and see what I should buy/do" said nobody ever.

They're intrusive and annoying as fuck, they need to find a better way to generate revenue. Or at least a less shitty way of putting out advertisements.
>>
>>51929035
And I just realized they replace the shortened version of "family" with senapi.
Fucking fags
>>
>>51928982
They should pay me tenfold for attempting to get that insulting, idiotic clickbait onto my screen.
I never buy anything I find through ads, referrals or other shit anyway so the shekels going through that system are as imaginary as a bad 2006 mortgage.

>>
>>51928982
t᠎bh f᠎am I hope they all lose their jobs, just stay away of my browser.
adblock is the first thing I install on new setups always.
>>
>>51928982

I fucking hate how they act like they are owed and entitled to ad money and adblock users are denying it to them. Fuck them.
>>
>>51928982
My life may be shit, and I have nothing going for me, not many thing can make me happy, except when I see someone crying "add block is taking my shekels"

I feel all cozy and confy inside
>>
Ads are earn small website owners literally dollars (single digits) a year or are a supplemental income for larger websites, who'd probably make more by rethinking their business strategy. Exceptions here being sites that redirect you to ads or news/media websites.

You are a shill if you believe the numbers they use as loss of profits.
>>
>>51928982
Feels fucking good man.

>wah why won't they view out ads
>meanwhile it's a fucking video with audio not muted and a pop-up for a free virus scan that downloads a keylogger
Nah go fuck yourselves.

I'll stop blocking ads when every website promises to use a single <100px height, <100kb banner and maybe a little 200x200 picture on the side.
No gifs, no webm, no audio, no stupid bullshit. 2 ads for things you think viewers of your web page will be interested in, delivered from your server.

Until that point, eat a dick.

thissssss

those sacks of shit spy on you, sell your information, performance horrid business practises, and use ad banners as a mean to infect machines with viruses or download illegal content(CP)
>>
>How does it make you feel that people are running out of business because of you?

if anyone's running a business that can be destroyed with a 155kb addon for your browser, you chose the wrong business to compete in
>>

you would be surprised how many people buy crap because of advertisement..

for example, a friend of mine works for a software solution company that sends automatic emails to people who leave their filled basked on a webshop (if they have an account linked to their email) with a "special" 15% discount if they choose to buy the stuff they put in it.. 34% more checkouts per month after they implemented the auto-mail method
>>
>>51929084
>download here
Don't you want that file? ;_;
>>
>>51928982
>automated online behavior profiling stopped
>because of you
Feels good.

Just showing people some ads on a website isn't worth shit; people are very unlikely to find them interesting enough to click and they know this. However, the personal information they gain from your browser loading the same ads on multiple sites is worth far more than that. Do not allow this unless you like being part of some marketing company's profile collection.
>>
Don't give a shit.
>>
>>51928982
makes me feel warm an fuzzy inside

>die off fucking ad supporters

we're bombarded by them in radio, tv, the web, on huge signs, the newspapers and whatnot.

that's why i use an adblocker, listen to music on vk and watch tv through NAS.
>>
>>51928982
I'm surprised the percentage of users blocking ads is that low. I thought a majority of people would be using ad blockers by now.
>>
>>51928982
Good riddance. I hope adblocking destroys the commercial internet.
>>
>>51928982
Good. Less shit webpages with unenthical ads is the better.

Yours included, Mr. Passive Aggressive blogger-kun.
>>

>>
>>51928982
Adblocking isn't a cost, at most a loss of income. That isn't a cost.
>>
>>51929181
They probably wouldn't if advertising alone was a viable option.
What we have now is the logical conclusion of the loss of advertising
I wonder what will happen when corporations start targeting ad blockers itself.
>>
There is a global conspiracy to discourage adblocking.

Ads are client sided, why do they care if i cannot view ads? Maybe i am using a potato to browse that supports text?
>>
>>51929260
Is that really an ad though? I purposely do this every time I order something online (except from Amazon).

I just did it yesterday with corporate gift baskets.
>>
>>51929757
do any tech hard ware places do this?
>>
this is a fallacy like the "one pirated product is worth one sale" (when lots of people wouldn't buy it anyway)

Ad companies aren't going to give significantly more net money to websites if people if people stopped using adblock.
>>
>>51928982
:|
>>
1. Its not like I'd buy their crappy products since I research what I buy;
2. If I do, it was due to technical merit, not the ad;
3. Some ads contain malware, music, or are outright intrusive;
4. Ad companies are disgusting and track you across the web, which leads to some disgusting practices (like simulating scarcity on an article that they know you've already viewed and upping the price to compel you to buy it on impulsive),
>>
I'm genuinely enjoying seeing this as it will mean that sites now have to convince people to turn off their ad blockers in return for good content rather than putting up whatever generates the most clicks and then slapping loads of ads into those articles.

Fuck people writing clickbait and fuck the big advertising companies like Google using ads to track people and generally datamine them. For the the thing that broke the camel's back was when I looked up reviews for an SSD I saw on sale and saw ads for the damn thing for the next 3 months before I installed an ad blocker.

I completely agree with the Adobe shills that something needs to be done about this. The more normalfags start using adblock, the more likely it is the people who depend on it to grow their shekels will devise a new method to get some profit out of you sooner rather than later.
