What's the biggest meme?
your life
node.js
Python is occasionally useful.
>>51916725
OP, not everything is a meme.
>>51916725
Go is a systems language.
>>51916741
Shame python "programmers" are all insufferable shitters
I used node. It's not bad but it's not something I would use if I had a choice of languages.
Python
node is occasionally useful.
>>51916725
you
you are the biggest meme
>>51916883
>being this retarded
node is confirmed sjw tech, fuck off back to reddit
> Talks about meme apps
> Forgets Yo
Swift
What criticisms are there against Node?
seriously, it seems fast, writing in the same language the backend as front end dev. It's built for concurrency (and I like callbacks)
or do you mean: web dev is a meme.

The h8ers here are just 14-year-old bandwagoners who equate the technical quality of a project with the political opinions of its leaders.

/g/ hates modern programming platforms because they do most mundane work for you, letting you spend your time building interesting projects.
Neckbeard autists want to spend as much of their time programming as they can because it distracts them from their empty lives, but they don't have interesting ideas, so things like Node, Python, Rails, etc remove the only time sink they have and don't provide anything to fill the gap.
It's the same reason Arch users avoid Ubuntu.
>>51916725
python
node.js is p good honestly other than it being javascript
This is nodefunction foo (param){
function (data, err){
function foo (param){
function (data, err){
function foo (param){
function (data, err){
}
}
which is more of a meme:
Rust or Go?
>>51919984
Rust
Go is actually used for a number of high-profile projects (e.g. Docker, InfluxDB, Ethereum)
>>51916725
Got to be node, it's a meme framework written in a meme language.
>>51920059
You could say the same of hasklel, doesn't make either of them any less memes.
>>51920111
>Docker, a project for which even Microsoft offers first-party support, is a meme
one day you'll discover that there is an entire world of software beyond fiddling with xorg.conf
>>51920111
Can Haskell be used to implement quicksort yet?
>>51919954
>not using promises
>>51920153
docker is not only meme, it's fucking retarded.
>>51920210
>it's fucking retarded.
No it isn't.
The reduction in energy consumption alone makes it worth it.
>>51916741
This.
>>51916783
This very much.
>>51916725
Python.
V8 at least has somewhat an acceptable architecture. And I'm not talking about performance here.
