In which resolution? 1080p should be fine if you don't need ultra detail settings, remember the consoles' integrated GPUs are much worse than a 7970.

If anyone has a 600W+ psu and gets a 970 theyre a dummy. I only have a 520W so I got one, but for $280 (what I paid for 970) you can get an R9 390 which is better IMO.

Maybe, Nvidia is using its hardware edge to bloat their prices. 970 is actually equivalent to a 380 but they're selling at 390 prices. 980 ti is equivalent to 390x but they charge 50% more than AMD since theirs is faster. AMD responds by packing ridiculous 4k processors on a card so they need to water cool it just to compete.

980 and 970 are the same chip. They slightly cut it down and it goes from $500 to $300 bucks. Same for Titan $1000 to $650.
