It's a neat idea, but they need to be able to offer more options for a main board before I hop on. The current size is 32gb which is nice but a lot of people want more. Camera is pretty shitty, processor is pretty shitty, ram is pretty shitty. Yes it's modular but if you're going to make a modular phone at least have the decency to offer different parts like a 16mp camera vs the 8 that they give you.

My "unfair" Xiaomi phone (it still pays the bills for a few people, eh) is $170. I'm not ideologically motivated enough to get a fairphone.

As an agnostic, I would like to say that I care about getting something made by people who are not vertiable slaves or otherwise being screwed over to make me a cellphone.
I tend to keep my conscience somethat celan by only using used things. This does not solve the problem, but at least it is making slightly more efficient use of materials.

Depends what lens you use. Dumbfucks using a Full frame camera with a shitty kit lens will take worse pictures than a smartphone.
