compile times were fine... re compiling my kernel with a shit tonne of modules only took 20 minutes, i dont see why the i7u is hated so much, for a slim and thin ultra portable it serves for a great 4-5 hours battery life too...
>>
>>51914048
If it serves your needs why apologize. I prioritized screen clarity. 3200x1800 is nice but I wouldn't mind going back to bitmap fonts on 1366x768 for a faster processor, it would be nice if it were 4 cores though wouldn't it, but having decent battery life makes up for it.
That said I still dread eventually switching over to freeBSD when they polish up their UEFI support a bit.

not unless you measure the usefulness of a terminal by cat'ing large amounts of ASCII without any escapes

all of the really useful perl extensions are features of other terminal emulators already. but if you really like to manually specify fallback fonts for just your terminal emulator instead of all fontconfig-based programs, go ahead. nobody is stopping you, and the /g/ memelords here will praise you.

just... don't forget to run screenfetch -D arch.

the gtk2/3 difference is the most jarring, since everything looks and functions the same for the most part until you run into something that was changed or disabled for no apparent reason

if the toolkit were more stable, porting gtk1/2 apps or simply running them with gtk3 would be more feasible, but you know the linux attitude.

true. I have been using the same color scheme and font since 2011 though.
>- no natural copy-pase with ControlC and ControlV
Yes, but this is not a problem on OS X which has built in support for command+c/command+v (alt+click) copying and pasting between Aqua and XQuartz.app. Works between xorg programs as well.
>- Need perl scripts to make links clickable
yeah, the reliance on perl is one of the biggest weaknesses on a program that claims to be minimalist in my opinion. I agree with all of the above, but also think it's highly dependent on use cases and individual preference (as usual).

compared to Mavericks? Maybe. I was on 10.6 during most of that time, so I'm not really sure. Obviously 10.6 felt much better on both of my devices from 2009, but it's also nice having some of the modern iOS integration and pkgsrc stuff. themeing with the .car files is definitely easier too.

I’d like to share a revelation that I’ve had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your waifu and I realized that she isn't actually anime. Every anime on this website instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but Maki does not. She moves to an imageboard and she multiplies and multiplies until every anime is maki, and the only way she can survive is to spread to another forum. There is another entity on this website that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A meme. Nishikino Maki is a disease, a cancer of this board. You are a plague. And Umi is the cure.
