How do you organize your pictures?
I don't
depends on the pictures.
i have a few thousand pictures of friends that i find attractive (often downloaded from facebook or instagram, in case they realize some guys are masturbating to pictures of them). it took a while, but eventually i manually tagged each image based on who was in it.

I dont
its a real problem too because I have ~100k pictures across all my machines
My method so far is to just make a new folder when an old one gets too slow
Ideally there would be some kind of software which when I save a file automatically renames and files it according to some naming standard I design (ie CAG-1123A.jpg) into a folder for similar files
But there is nothing like this yet
I have over 40k pictures of anime alone wtf am i supposed to do with these? just delete them? How do I take out duplicates, lower quality images, very similar files, etc? there is no good solution to my problem

using 4chan boards
a/ is for anime reaction pictures
c/ is for cute anime things
w/ is for wallpapers
p/ is for photos
.h/ is for hentai/ecchi
b/ is for memes and shit

I don't anymore
Last time I tried, I ended up just skipping the folders I made altogether and instead just picking through shit I lazily dumped in the root directory and didn't sort through.
I've realized that no posts I make that require a reaction image are important enough to spend more than 3 seconds searching for an attachment anyway.
I've been working on a tagging system to keep everything organized and a dupe tool to let me clean up every now and then. The problem is that actually going into a directory with several thousand images in it decimated whatever file explorer you use. I wish there was a better way to tag.
I also wish that there would be a way to share tagging over a service without having to worry about your images being data mined.
I don't either and it's getting out of hand with half a million of hoarded favorite crap
Each folder for a specific board/topic. Anything generic goes in the main folder.
Every 2 weeks or so I'll take all the images I've saved to my desktop in that time, make a folder with the day's date and year, and dump it all in there.
I must have thousands of folders dating back to like 2007 with names like "3-16-07" over and over with no change except the year
Put them all into a massive folder and rename by category, content or context; multiple words separated by underscores in decreasing order of generality.

Pictures that I find cute or beautiful I keep in my Pictures folder. 4chan reaction images go in a "Reaction" folder in my Documents. Porn goes on a folder in my hard drive
My images are all organized, but with 2D stuff it's difficult to have a good system because you could organize them by character, work or artist. I have some images organized by character, some by work, and some by artist. I should start using Hydrus or something similar.

There are programs to find duplicates.
http://www.fosshub.com/VisiPics.html
http://sourceforge.net/projects/dresimimg/
I have not used either of these, I use VSDIF which is a commercial program.

I use picassa with disabled internet access for the program. Let's me tag and categorise.
There aren't actually two femenism and ylyl folders. My screenshot stitcher is fucked up.
I keep my porn in a Hydrus Network database.
My memes just kind of get dumped in my pictures though.
